The Long Term Persecution of Ms. Zhang Huishuang of Benxi City, Liaoning Province

July 18, 2009

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Zhang Huishuang is from Benxi City, Liaoning Province. Because she is a steadfast practitioner of Falun Gong, she has been relentlessly persecuted by members of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). She was illegally arrested by government officials on several occasions and taken to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp twice. She was subjected to brutal force-feeding, body-stretching, and injections with unknown drugs. Due to this terrible abuse, she is unable to care for herself. .

Arrested While Traveling to Beijing to Appeal to the Authorities

On July 20 1999, Ms. Zhang traveled to Beijing to appeal to higher authorities for help but was arrested, taken back to Benxi, and detained for 15 days. After her release, she went to appeal again. This time, she was arrested and kept in the Dabailou Detention Center in Benxi City. Then she was transferred to Xiaoshi Detention Center, where she was beaten with a leather belt by the guards. Later, she was taken to Weining Forced Labor Camp, where she underwent body-stretching torture and was forced to stand outside in freezing conditions until she was unable to stand or walk.

Beaten with an Electric Baton in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp

Ms. Zhang was "illegally detained" for two years by the CCP. She was subjected to daily forced-brainwashing sessions at Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. When she refused to give up her Falun Gong practice, she was confined in a special area where she was beaten with an electric baton every two to three days.

Brutal Force Feeding and Body-stretching Torture in Dabailou Detention Center

In September 2002, Ms. Zhang was washing clothes at home when Xu Gang, chief of the Huolianzhai Police Station, along with seven other officers including Zhang Fugui and Zhang Yongchun, came and took her to the Dabailou Detention Center and later ransacked her home. She was tortured there and decided to go on a hunger strike. The guards bound her with handcuffs and shackles, then took her to a hospital program designated for force-feeding. They used metal pliers to pry open her mouth. When she was returned to Dabailou, they repeated the body-stretching torture and did not allow her to use the toilet.

Due to the torture, Ms. Zhang had difficulty walking, so the brutal force-feeding was continued in her cell. They forced a tube down her throat and into her stomach, then poured salt water, milk, and some corn paste into it.

Injected with Unknown Drugs and Disabled

One day, Dr. Liu of the Dabailou Detention Center came and injected an unknown drug into her spinal cord. Then, officers from the Huolianzhai Police Station took her to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. She tried to stand but was very weak. She was unable to sit after the drug took effect and had to lie down.

She was allowed to go home, but she suffered incontinence. She was too weak to turn over on her own and had a fever of over 104 degrees F. Her husband had a difficult time taking care of her, since her injuries required more than a one person's attention. Later, two practitioners came to help him.

After twenty days, and with Master's help, she was able to stand up and could walk a little.

Returned to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp

In 2004, Ms. Zhang was talking on the phone with two fellow practitioners from Tianjin. Her phone was tapped, and the police in Tianjin arrested all three of them. They were "illegally sentenced" to two years in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.

In 2006, while away from home clarifying the truth, she was arrested by officers from the Shiqiaozi Police Station, and taken to Ajialing Detention Center. She went on a hunger strike, so they force-fed her for a week. Then they tried to take her to Masanjia Reformatory, but the officials there refused to admit her, so she was returned to the detention center.

Yet Another Arrest

In October 2007, officers from the Huolianzhai Police Station broke into Ms. Zhang's house. They put her on a stretcher and carried her to a police van, then ransacked her home. Three days later, they told her husband to come to the police station to take her back.
