(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Liu Zhenguo resides in Tieling City, Liaoning Province. Because he remains steadfast in his belief, he has been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party officials. He has been detained numerous times and forced to do hard labor twice for a total of three years.
Before practicing Falun Gong, Mr. Liu suffered from severe bronchitis for several years; it was cured after he began practicing Falun Gong. In addition, he also better understands the true meaning of life. After Jiang Zemin's regime began its barbaric suppression of Falun Gong, Mr. Liu went to Beijing on September 28, 1999 to appeal for Falun Gong. In October, however, he was detained at Tieling County Detention Center. Forty-six days later, he was released, but only after Tieling County Police Department extorted 3,000 yuan from him.
On May 13, 2002, police officers from Pingdingbao Township Police Station of Tieling County arrested Mr. Liu while he was practicing Falun Gong exercises at home. He was detained at Tieling County Detention Center, and was forced to do hard labor, such as loading and unloading rocks, etc.
In June 2002, Mr. Liu was given a three-year sentence because he refused to denounce his belief. After that, he was imprisoned at Tieling City Forced Labor Camp. In the No. 2 Division of the labor camp, guard Yan Tao shocked him with an electric baton; guard Wang Dongqing struck him with a rubber club; and guard Liu Tixin physically tortured him. However, the physical torture failed to force Mr. Liu Zhenguo to give up Falun Gong.
The labor camp also forced the imprisoned practitioners to repair a railway bridge at Shuangmiaozi Town in Changtu County. The practitioners were forced to mix concrete and work for two consecutive days. They were not given any breaks, even when it rained.
Mr. Liu was forced to do hard labor until July 23, 2004, when he was finally released.
On February 3, 2005, Mr. Liu was sentenced to three years of hard labor again, and he was detained at Tieling City Forced Labor Camp. The head of the labor camp, Wang Tiemin, forced all the practitioners to wear the prison uniform. Mr. Liu refused to wear it. Because of this, Wang Tiemin instructed the head of No. 5 Division (Su Li), guard Zhao Deshan, and five to six other guards to shock Mr. Liu with electrical batons for a long period of time.
One evening in October 2006, after drinking, guards from the No. 5 Division (Wang Guijun and Zhao Deshan) instructed two people to hold up Mr. Liu in the hallway. After that, Wang Guijun severely hit Mr. Liu on his face and chest for about an hour. Mr. Liu fainted several times. After he regained consciousness, the guards continued hitting him. While they were torturing him, everybody in the No. 5 Division was listening and watching the guards carry out their vicious deeds. As a result of torture, Mr. Liu was bruised all over, and was unable to fall asleep that night due to the pain. He was unable to eat the next day. Mr. Liu's family went to talk to the authorities at the labor camp, but nobody did anything for them.
Afterwords, Tieling City Labor Camp transferred Mr. Liu along with 15 other practitioners to Weining Labor Camp in Benxi City. Mr. Liu was released on April 26, 2007.
