(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Tian Yanhua, 62, and Ms. Li Xiuying, 61, are retirees of the Yunnan Shipbuilding Electronics Company (also called the 502 Factory). A village head reported them to the police while they were talking with farmers about Falun Gong in an open market in Dachong Village, Kunming on August 20, 2010. The officers arrested them, took them to the Dachong Police Station at 10:00 a.m. and transferred them to the Shuihaizi Police Station in Dachong Village around 11:00 a.m.
Officers searched them and interrogated them in the Shuihaizi Police Station. Ms. Tian was handcuffed to a chair. Ms. Li's hands were cuffed behind her back. An officer stepped on her and denied her use of the bathroom.
The two ladies were taken to the Development Zone Police Station and held separately. They did not answer the officers' questions during the interrogation. The officers then fabricated notes of questions and answers. The ladies refused to sign the document.
The officers attempted to hold the ladies in the detention center, but the center administration rejected them because of their physical exam results. The officers extorted 1,300 yuan from them, and then released them.
The third day after their release, the 502 Factory CCP secretary Liu Minghui, 610 Office director Wang Guohua, security office director Wei Kaihu and retiree office director Liu Yan talked to them and threatened them. Their children were called to the factory one by one, and told if they did not stop their mothers from practicing Falun Gong, their mothers' pensions as well as their own employment would be stopped. They were forced to write notes to defame Falun Gong and then read them over the factory's broadcast system.
