(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 9 provinces. In this report, 19 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 13 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Beijing ] Yanqing County Practitioner Mr. Jiang Hai's Life in Peril Due to Torture in Prison
2. [Liaoning Province] The Liaohe Oil Field Domestic Security Division Officials Attempt to Arrest Ms. Su Yan
Ms. Su Yan, in her 50s, lives at the staff quarters of the Liaohe Oil Field Research Institute. Her husband is an institute employee. A person with a hand-held transceiver arrived at her home with a police officer on the afternoon of September 27, 2010. They claimed the apartment downstairs had a water leak and asked Ms. Su to open the door. She refused. The two people left. Soon afterwards, three males in plainclothes came attempting to enter with other excuses, but Ms. Su also refused to let them in. These people then went to her husband's workplace, requesting him to go home and open the door, but were also refused. These agents continued to harass Ms. Su and her husband over the following several days, demanding them to turn in a laptop computer and network card. They also threatened to arrest them. Ms. Su chose to leave home.
Ms. Su was arrested in 2000 and November 2005, and was sentenced to two years in a labor camp each time.

3. [Baiquan County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yan Congzhi Illegally Detained at the Qiqihar City Detention Center

5. [Shouguang County, Shandong Province] Recent Crimes Committed by Police Officers
Several plainclothes agents from the Shouguang County Domestic Security Division harassed numerous practitioners at home on the morning of September 9, 2010. They arrested Ms. Zhang Jinmei and Ms. Zhao Shixiu and others. The police also went to practitioner Ms. Wang Jinhua's home in Jianqiao Town at about 10 o'clock that same day; then went to harass a practitioner surnamed Wang. Other practitioners including Ms. Zhang Yongxiang were also harassed.
After the police went to Ms. Zhang Jinmei's home and arrested her, they took her to the Sunji Town Police Station where they tortured and interrogated her for two days.
6. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Ji Shude Sent to Jidong Prison for Further Persecution
Handan City practitioner Mr. Ji Shude was sentenced to three years of imprisonment. Following the 2010 National Holiday he was sent to the Jingdong Prison in Tangshan City.
7. [Yongzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. Wang Shujuan Suffers Severe High Blood Pressure Due to Persecution
Yongzhou City practitioner Ms. Wang Shujuan was sent to the Changsha City Women's Prison. Prison officials refused to accept her due to severe high blood pressure. She is now at the Lingling Detention Center. Her family is forbidden to visit her.
Agents from the 610 Office and from the Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Wang at home on September 23, 2009. She was later sentenced to four years of imprisonment.
8. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Lin Detained at a Brainwashing Center, Her Father Forced Out When Attempting to Rescue Her
Practitioner Ms. Wang Lin's father visited her at a brainwashing facility on October 11, 2010. He told his daughter that she must not stay in this place and tried to take her with him and leave. Six guards carried Ms. Wang's father forcibly out of the door and declared they would ban his future visits.
9. [Linxia County, Gansu Province] Mr. Jiao Yongren Illegally Sentenced to Four Years of Imprisonment
Ms. Jiao Yongren is a 69-year-old practitioner who lives at Lianhua Town in Linxia County. She was arrested on the evening of June 28, 2010 and held at the Hanji Detention Center. Police officials demanded 5,000 yuan from her family, but were refused. Linxia County officials (from the police, judicial, and court systems) later sentenced her covertly to four years of imprisonment. The police also sent her to the Lanzhou Prison, but the prison officials refused to accept her. Ms. Jiao is still held at the Hanji Detention Center.
10. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhan Lihua and Ms. Lu Zhilan Illegally Held at the Zoucheng City Detention Center
11. [Dianbai County, Guangdong Province] Persecution of Ms. Gan Huiling
The Dianbai County 610 Office head Xiao Xiong, together with more than 10 police officers, arrested Ms. Gan Huiling at home on the evening of August 4, 2010. They sent her to the Maoming Brainwashing Center. Ms. Gan did not yield and went on a hunger strike to appeal. She left the brainwashing center 14 days later.

12. [Zunyi City, Guizhou Province] Mr. Xie Jun Arrested
Disabled practitioner Mr. Xie Jun, employed at the Zunyi City Railway Station, was arrested on October 11, 2010. His home was ransacked. The following belongings were confiscated: computer, printer, Dafa books, truth-clarification materials.
13. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Ye Qibing and Other Practitioners Arrested
Agents from the Luojiang County 610 Office and from the Huangxu Town Police Station arrested the following practitioners from Huangxu Town in Deyang City on the evening of October 9, 2010: Mr. Ye Qibing, Ms. Qiu Yuqun, and Mr. Liu Zhiping and his wife Ms. Qiu Jiyuan. Mr. Ye and Mr. Liu are held at the Luojiang County Detention Center. Ms. Qiu Jiyuan is held at Xiaoshanmen in Deyang City. Ms. Qiu Yuqun was released.
14. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Chunhong Arrested
Practitioners from the Laoshan District in Qingdao City, Wang Chunhong from Wangjia Village and another practitioner surnamed Wang from Zhongjiagou Village, went out to clarify the truth. Agents from the Zhonghan Police Station arrested them. They are now in the Dashan Labor Camp in Qingdao City. The police also ransacked Ms. Wang Chunhong's home.
15. [Tianjin] Recent Persecution Targeting Mr. Zhang Ximing's Family
Agents from the Dongli Police Department and from the 610 Office transferred Mr. Zhang Ziwen, Ms. Liu Yuhong (wife), and Mr. Zhang Xilong (eldest son) to Tianjin on October 10, 2010. They are currently at the Dongli Detention Center. The police confiscated personal belongings, including two laptop computers and a printer. Local Lasa City police confiscated Mr. Zhang Xilong's car. (Note: Zhang Ximing is Mr. Zhang Ziwen's second son.)
16. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xing Liqiu and Mr. Wang Guoxin Arrested
Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Xing Liqiu and Mr. Wang Guoxin were arrested at about 11 a.m. on October 12, 2010. People responsible for the arrest are agents from the Dezhou City Domestic Security Division and agents from the Dongdi Police Station in the Decheng District in Dezhou City. These practitioners are currently deprived of freedom at the Dongdi Police Station.

17. [Laishui County, Hebei Province] Ms. Shi Shuzhen and Other Practitioners Arrested and Sent to a Brainwashing Center
Agents from the Songgezhuang Township Government and police station, six people in all, arrested practitioners Ms. Shi Shuzhen (from Wanggezhuang Village) and Ms. Yang Shulan (from Wukongsi) on the morning of October 9, 2010. Ms. Yang Shulan, in her 70s, refused to sign documents denouncing Falun Gong and is now incarcerated at a brainwashing center.
Agents from the Laishui Town Government and police station also arrested another female practitioner in Nanwazhai Village on the morning on October 10. They then sent her to a brainwashing center.
18. [Huanren County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zheng Yushu Put in the Liaoning Women's Prison
Ms. Zheng Yushu is a 60-year-old Falun Gong practitioner in Huanren County. She was arrested on December 9, 2009 and put into the Benxi City Detention Center. Nine months later, the Hengren County Court illegally sentenced her to three years and six months. She was transferred to Division 1 of the Liaoning Women's Prison on September 6, 2010. At that time, her daughter (not a practitioner), who was working in another city, came to visit her and was also arrested. Her daughter was not released from the Huanren County Detention Center until 28 days later. Her personal belongings were confiscated by the Huanren County Police Department officials, including a computer, cell phone, and 8,000 yuan cash.
After Ms. Zheng was put in prison, her family requested the court verdict document, but was refused.

19. [Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Li Shouqing Illegally Sent to Labor Camp, Her Mother Threatened
Ms. Li Shouqing, about 48 years old, lives in Building 28, Room 208, Jiangbinxincun, in Zhenjiang City. For telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong she was illegally sent to a labor camp for one year and nine months. Police officials sent her to the Judong Women's Forced Labor Camp in Jiangsu Province on September 27 without notifying her family. Ms. Li's mother went to the police station requesting documentation on the labor camp sentence. An officer surnamed Wang threatened that whoever made additional phone calls about it would be arrested.
