(Clearwisdom.net) Recently there has been a lot of talk about the year of 2012. Even among everyday people this has also been a hot topic. According to the Mayan Long Count Calendar, the winter solstice in 2012 marks the end of this era of human civilization. Some practitioners have been treating this date as the day when Fa-rectification will enter the human realm. These practitioners are counting the days till cultivation ends. Such understandings are obviously a deviation from the Fa.
The time mentioned in the prophecy is arranged by the old forces to eliminate sentient beings. The events predicted in many prophecies are old force arrangements; such as the number of sentient beings to be eliminated and so on. Yet these arrangements are fundamentally denied by Master during the Fa-rectification. The exact time for the beginning of the new era in human civilization is determined only by Master. No being in the universe can see when this will happen. What the old forces predicted and arranged for others to foresee is what would have happened if the final progress of the Fa-rectification was arranged by themselves. However, that is not the true date, nor the final outcome.
A prophecy is passed down so as to enable us to use it to save sentient beings during the final moments. It exists to tell people that history is arranged by high level beings and that human beings must obey heaven's will and respect heaven and gods in order to have a good future.
In reality, the present time has already been extended by Master and is for us to build our mighty virtue in the process of saving sentient beings. Thus, all the prophecies from the old universe cannot possibly describe the future situation. 2012 is just a date set under the laws of the old universe. We must take great care not to be attached to this date. Let us study the Fa more often, maintain strong righteous thoughts and be more diligent. Let's follow Master's requirements and save even more sentient beings during this time that compassionate Master has given us!
