(Clearwisdom.net) Police from Zhejiang Province have arrested practitioner Ms. Deng Duyu and her daughter, Ms. Hu Daocui from Guangan, Sichuan Province. The Jiashan Court sentenced them to six months in prison.
Ms. Deng, 66, is from Wufang Village, Fangping Township, Guangan City, Sichuan Province. She was helping to take care of her grandson in Weitang Town, Jiashan County, Zhejiang Province where her son worked in construction. On May 10, 2010, officers from the Luoxing Police Station threatened her son to get him to disclose her whereabouts. They said they would terminate his construction contract, and promised not to arrest her. After her son relented, Ms. Deng was arrested some time after 10:00 p.m. the same day.
At almost the same time, police used the same technique to arrest Ms. Hu Daocui, daughter of Ms. Deng, who lived in a community south of Weitang Town.
Ms. Deng was detained at the Jiashan Detention Center. Ms. Hu was detained at the Jiaxing Detention Center. The officers said it was Guangan police who informed them that they were practitioners.
Ms. Deng has been arrested nine times since 1999.
On July 12, 2001, Deng Heping, Lin Jinghua, and others from the Fangping Township government ransacked her home and seized her property, including 13 bags of rice, a washing machine, an electric fan, and a television. They detained her at the Fangping Township Primary School for 28 days.
After 8:00 p.m. on March 15, 2004, Chen Lisheng, Lu Qunli, and others from the township government ransacked Ms. Deng's home. That night, Chen pulled her hair, smashed her head against the wall, and kicked her in the stomach. They beat her so hard at the Zaoshan Police Station that they had to release her the next day in order to let her family take her for emergency care.
On May 15, 2004, Ms. Deng was detained at the Huaying City Brainwashing Center for three-and-a-half months.
