(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Zhu Rongzhen, 57, is being held at the Chenggong County Detention Center in Kunming City, and is extremely weak from being tortured. Officials from the detention center refused to tell her family of her condition and only told them that Ms. Zhu was sent to the prison hospital.
Ms. Zhu came to Chenggong from Kunming to take care of her 85-year-old father-in-law, who is paralyzed. At around 9 a.m. on February 24, 2001, she was reported to the authorities by a security officer when she was seen handing out DVDs of the Shen Yun show at a small farmers market in Chenggong. She was arrested and taken to the Chengguan Police Station. Two policemen then broke into Ms. Zhu's house to monitor her father-in-law, who had recently suffered from a stroke and had just been discharged from the hospital.
Huang Yong and several other officers from the Domestic Security Division took Ms. Zhu to her father-in-law's home and ransacked it. They confiscated her personal belongings. Her father-in-law told the police that he had been dying from a stroke, but that he started to recover when he read the Dafa books. He also told the policemen to stop doing bad things.
Huang Yong forcibly took Ms. Zhu away. Around midnight, her husband Zuo Liqing was made to go to the police station to fill out their paperwork. At 2:30 a.m. the next morning, they took Ms. Zhu to the Domestic Security Division and detained her there for about 38 hours. After being refused entry by detention center officials, she was released on bail. Officials from the Chenggong Domestic Security Division then ransacked her home in Kunming.
When Ms. Zhu exposed the illegal actions of Huang Yong and the policemen to the relevant government departments, she was harassed by officials from the 610 Office and the Chenggong Domestic Security Division.
On September 27, Ms. Zhu was tricked into going to the hospital to get a check-up. When she went there, she was arrested by officials from the Domestic Security Division and was taken to the county detention center.
After several requests by her husband, he was allowed to visit her in the detention center, but was monitored by Tu Danian from the county 610 Office, the deputy head from the county's Public Security Bureau and policemen from the Domestic Security Division. Zhu's physical condition started to deteriorate and her blood pressure was very high. A week later, when her husband tried to visit her again, he was told that she had been transferred to the prison hospital. He was not given any further details.
