(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Zhu Yifang was an officer with the Guangyuan City Government Agency Office in Chengdu. After the CCP started the persecution of Falun Gong, she was illegally detained several times. She was once hung up with handcuffs for seven days and nights and tortured with "Five Horses Splitting the Body." She was force-fed and injected with unknown drugs.

Ms. Zhu wrote letters to different governmental offices in Sichuan Province, Chengdu City, and Guangyuan City, to the People's Congress, the Procuratorate, the police station, the courts, the media, etc., to expose the persecution she suffered at the hands of the 610 Office in Sichuan Province, Chengdu Women's Prison (formerly Binjiang Prison, Chuanxi Women's Prison) and Chengdu City Detention Center. She demanded that the responsible parties be punished according to the law. In the meantime, she requested compensation for her financial losses as well as the harm that she suffered. Below is a statement by Zhu Yifang.

I began practicing Falun Gong in 1997 and quickly recovered both physically and mentally from a very fragile condition.

Arrested and hung up for seven days and nights

On February 26, 2000, I was trying to clarify the facts about the persecution to a police officer. He deceived me and took me to Huangwajie Police Station at the Qingyang Branch Police Station, Chengdu City. I was held for 15 days in Jiurucun Detention Center. Later, they took me to Lianhuacun Detention Center in Chengdu. I was confined in an iron cage and interrogated. During my detention there, officers from Huangwajie and Yingmenkou Police Stations and the anti-riot brigade stayed in my home without permission. They lived in our home, eating and drinking, and playing cards. They took my Falun Dafa books, my son's computer that he was using for his studies, a printer, and stereo systems, and drove my 14-year-old son out of our home.

On the night of March 5, 2001, over ten people from the Yingmenkou Police Station, the district office, and the neighborhood committee broke into my home. They dragged me from the third floor down to the police car parked in the yard. Then they took me to a "Law Training Class" (a brainwashing facility) in Jingushanzhuang and detained me there for 20 days. They brainwashed me, trying to force me to give up my belief in Truth-Compassion-Forbearance.

On September 29, 2002, I was doing an errand when, out of the blue, an officer knocked me down, dragged me into a taxi, and took me to Jiulidi Police Station. After torturing me for over ten hours, they sent me to Chengdu Detention Center at 1 o'clock in the morning. A few days later, Jiulidi Police Station officers interrogated me. They put me in a car and, after driving a short distance away from the detention center, they covered my head with a black plastic bag, took me to an unknown place, then to a dark room on a seventh floor. The windows in the room were covered with black cloth. They hung me up in that dark room for seven days and nights. It was so horrible that I haven't dared to recall that time until today.

At Guangyuan City Detention Center, they hung me up like "Five Horses Splitting the Body," and then force fed me and injected me with some unknown drug.

On the afternoon of April 25, 2006, Guangyuan City Police Station went to my office and arrested me. They worked with Chengdu City Police Station to ransack my home and then took me to Guangyuan City Detention Center.

I protested the persecution by means of a hunger-strike. The police and criminals in the detention center put me in handcuffs and shackles on a death bed in the position of "Five Horses Splitting the Body." Then they poked a plastic tube up my nose and down into my stomach. I felt sharp pain in my nose and stomach. Blood ran out of my nose. They still force fed me. After that, they took the tube out. They did this four to five times every day. Once they did it eight times in one day.

The 610 Office of Sichuan Province gave orders to the detention center to torture me to death and said that if I was tortured to death, they wouldn't be held responsible. The doctor at the prison then gave me some unknown injections. After the injection, I felt sharp pain like a sword poking my heart and I was shivering all over. Since I was restrained very tightly with handcuffs and shackles, I could not move at all. I could only move my head. It was really horrible. The force-feeding and injections were done repeatedly each day from morning till night.

I was tortured like this from April 25, 2006, till November 13, 2006. This combination of physical and mental persecution greatly exceeded the limit of what a human being can endure. When I was persecuted to the brink of death, the detention center sent me to Chengdu Women's Prison on November 14, 2006.

Verbally abused and given unknown injections in Chengdu Women's Prison

On October 8, 2006, I was sentenced to seven years by Wangcang County Court in Guangyuan. On November 14, 2006, I was detained at the No. 6 District of Chengdu Women's Prison.

Because I would not give up my belief, I was held long-term in a solitary cell. They opened the cell door on the day of the earthquake on May 12, 2008. While I was in the cell, two criminals took turns monitoring me. They would not allow me to leave the cell, and nobody was allowed to talk to me.

In Chengdu Women's Prison, I suffered all kinds of persecution. I insisted on maintaining my belief, refused to wear a prison uniform, and would not allow them to mark anything on my clothes signifying that I was a criminal. The police instigated criminals to pull off all my clothes, leaving me in only my bra and panties. During the Wenchuan earthquake, the prison had to transfer all the inmates to another location. During the move, I had difficulty breathing and couldn't walk. The criminal inmates dragged me on the ground and I almost lost consciousness. At that time, they still would not allow me to wear my own clothes. They covered me with a bed sheet.

Because I was detained and tortured for such a long time, plus the pressure from the three so-called "instructors" that kept up the brainwashing procedures everyday, I was under a lot of stress. Since I could not buy food for daily use; could not eat vegetables, fruit, or salt; and could not be outside, my entire body swelled up. Several times, they even refused my requests to leave the cell to get hot water.

Later I was sent to Chengdu Police Hospital and stayed there for three weeks. Even though I was still not totally recovered, they sent me back to the prison. Later, because my physical condition turned worse, the prison sent me back to the Police Hospital again. Because I did not cooperate with their attempts to persecute me in the hospital, four male criminals held me down on the bed and tied my hands and feet up to the four corners of the bed with cloth. They also tied my belly and knees down to either side of the bed. Then they injected me with unknown drugs. After the injection, I started feeling nervous. My blood vessels hurt. My stomach swelled and I felt miserable.

At first, they gave me two little bottles of infusion. Later, since I did not cooperate with them, they increased the dosage, giving me big bottles, from two bottles to four, then from four to six, and then from six to eight. Everyday they injected me with unknown drugs. At first, they gave me one injection. Later they gave me two. My buttocks became abscessed. I was tortured like this in the hospital for over five months. Even now, I still have over one hundred, greenish needle marks on my buttocks.

Later, my blood vessels were messed up and they could not find a good place to inject me, so they could not do any more injections. The hospital put out an imminent death notice several times. The doctor said that I could only live for a few days at the most. At that time, the staff members from the 610 Offices of Sichuan Province, Guangyuan City, and Cangxi County arrived at my bedside to investigate and saw that I could barely breathe, and they thought I was for sure going to die in the hospital. Only then did they agree to allow my relatives to carry me out of the hospital.

My family members suffered numerous hardships

During the past ten years that I have been persecuted, my family has also suffered great hardship. They endured great mental suffering. My father and parents-in-laws passed away. My husband passed away when he was young. My son had no mother to take care of him. He lived a lonely life and became homeless. Sometimes, when school was closed for the holidays, my son had to go hungry and slept in a dorm for several days.

Due to long-term brutal persecution, I was severely damaged both physically and mentally. Even now my health is still very bad. I cannot straighten up my back because of pain. My body is swollen, I cannot walk, and I cannot take care of myself on a daily basis. I have lost the ability to work or to live a normal life.
