(Clearwisdom.net) Several practitioners recently died as a result of letting the old forces take advantage of their loopholes. This caused confusion among newer practitioners.
A coordinator was affected by sickness karma for two years and was hospitalized a number of times. Worried about his condition, practitioners brought together others to send righteous thoughts for him in his presence and study the Fa with him. These activities involved many practitioners in our city. Everyone heard about this. The practitioner pleaded with other practitioners to save his life.
Many practitioners spent much energy, long-term effort and time on these activities. Perhaps we should stop and think: Were we really doing the right thing? Have the old forces taken advantage of our loopholes and prolonged other practitioners' persecution?
Helping practitioners is the right thing to do, but we must do it without attachments arising from emotion. Emotions are presently affecting many practitioners--anxiety, fear of bad publicity, friendship with these practitioners, blaming others, differential treatment.
Differential treatment is quite obvious. So far, several practitioners who have been affected by sickness karma have passed away. But the current effort to send righteous thought for one practitioner is unprecedented. Is it because he is a coordinator? Is this differential treatment a human notion? Everyone hopes he can overcome the tribulation, and yet people are afraid of him causing a bad influence. Is this fear? Helping him to study the Fa and improve is a good thing. But have we pursued the result? Some blame him for not making enough progress through cultivation; others think he did not truly let go of the fear of death. Does blaming him constitute a lack of compassion? Thinking this way, we are unable to put our best efforts into validating the Fa. These loopholes could become excuses for the old forces to persecute us.
So many of these thoughts affect practitioners' minds. We should help him, but not with emotion.
We are cultivators. Not only him, but all of us, should cultivate. The old forces believe perhaps they have done the right thing and determined that it is necessary to prolong his sickness karma to get rid of our emotions.
If we do not follow the Fa, we would be doing him a disservice.
After such a long time, his condition is now getting worse. It is time for us to calm down and think.
As I understand it, now that the Fa-rectification is nearing the end, the requirements for practitioners is getting tougher. It is time for us to improve our Fa study and cultivation to the point where there is no room for error. We must gauge everything with Dafa's standard. Problems are not to be feared. If we can all relinquish our human thoughts, our problems will be resolved. I hope all of us can think this over, and conduct ourselves as cultivators.
The suffering practitioners had their own problems: some have a strong fear of pain and death, some do not have strong righteous thoughts and always are in pursuit of something when doing the three things, some misunderstand the Fa, and believe that dying earlier is also achieving consummation, even to the point of wishing to die soon to avoid further suffering. Some do not truly believe in Master and the Fa, and die in the hospital after repeated hospitalization.
Practitioners, let us study Master’s teaching in “Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference,”
“"I'm Li Hongzhi's disciple, I don't want other arrangements or acknowledge them"--then they won't dare to do that. So it can all be resolved. When you can really do that, not just saying it but putting it into action, Master will definitely stand up for you.”
We should remind ourselves that our individual cultivation has nothing to do with other lives. If we did agree with other beings in the past, we should declare all such agreements to be invalid. From now on, we only accept our Master’s arrangement. No other lives dare to touch us anymore.
These are my own understandings. Please correct me if I said anything wrong.
