(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 35 cities or counties in 15 provinces. In this report, 2 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 65 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Xichang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Lu Yuancui and Ms. Xia Huiqiong Arrested
On January 7, 2010, Ms. Lu Yuancui and Ms. Xia Huiqiong were arrested by Chen Quansheng and other officers from the Xichang Domestic Security Team while they were talking to people about Falun Gong.

2. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Cao Jianzhong and Ms. Chang Zheng Detained
On January 24, 2009, Mr. Cao Jianzhong and Ms. Chang Zheng, from Xushuguan Town, Gaoxin District, were arrested by officers from the Huangqiao Police Station while they were talking to people about Falun Gong and distributing Falun Gong materials in Xiangcheng District. Later on, they were sent to the Suzhou First Detention Center.
3. [Laishui County, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Shurong Arrested
Sometime around January 25 and 26, 2010, Mr. Li Shurong, from Wugezhuang, Wangcun Township, was arrested when he went to Beijing to talk to people about Falun Gong. Now he is being detained in the Laishui Detention Center.
4. [Wafangdian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Yunfeng Arrested
On January 29, 2010, Mr. Liu Yunfeng was arrested by officers from the Zhanqian Police Station while he was talking to people about Falun Gong. His home was also ransacked.
5. [Xinmin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Yueying Arrested by Officers from the Gaotaizi Township Police Station
Ms. Wang Yueying is 63 years old. At 9 p.m. on January 31, 2010, she was arrested by officers from the Gaotaizi Township Police Station while distributing Falun Gong materials in Xigao Village, Gaotaizi Township. Now she is being detained in the Xinmin Police Department.
6. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Shi Xiuqin Arrested
On the morning of January 31, 2010, Ms. Shi Xiuqin was arrested by officers from the Hanting Domestic Security Team while she was talking to people about Falun Gong at the Shangyecun Farmers Market. The police ransacked her home and notified her family to pay 20,000 yuan. Her family could only pay 3,000 yuan, but it was not enough for the police.
7. [Xingyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Wang Yulan Still Detained
On January 26, 2010, Ms. Wang Yulan was arrested by Han Dejun from the County Domestic Security Team, Chief Li Hui of the Township Police Station, Fu Xifeng and other officers. Her home was also ransacked. The police extorted 10,000 yuan from her family. Ms. Wang is still being held in the detention center.
8. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Zhang Xiuying Arrested and Detained on the Afternoon of January 31, 2010
9. [Leshan City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Dai Shanrong and Other Practitioners Arrested
On January 29, 2010, Mr. Dai Shanrong, a practitioner with surname of Zeng, and another practitioner, went to Qingping Township, Zhong District, to talk people about Falun Gong. On the way back, they were arrested by Wang Aiping and other Domestic Security officers. They were then sent to a drug rehabilitation center for persecution.
10. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wu Xiaohong and Mr. Wu Xiaohua Arrested
At noon on January 26, 2010, Ms. Wu Xiaohong was arrested at the Huibo Mall. That night, four policemen went to ransack her home.
On the morning of January 27, 2010, Mr. Wu Xiaohua was taken away from his home by officers from the Jianshelu Police Station. He was released the next day.
11. [Tianjin] Ms. Han Shujuan Sentenced to Five Years in Prison
On June 12, 2009, Ms. Han Shujuan from Dong District was arrested by officers from the Lushandao Police Station while she was talking to people about Falun Gong at the Taiyangcheng Residential Area. At the end of 2009, she was secretly sentenced to five years in prison.
As a result of the persecution, Ms. Han's blood pressure reached 200 and she had severe menstrual bleeding. She is currently suffering from uterine tumors and is being detained in the Hedong Detention Center.
12. [Cangzhou, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Jijun Appeals
On November 23, 2009, the Yunhe District Court set up an illegal session against Mr. Wang Jijun. His family asked a Beijing attorney to defend him. The judge sentenced Mr. Wang Jijun to four years in prison because he had three CD's about Falun Gong and his computer had five files about Falun Gong.
13. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wei Rongjiu Arrested
Ms. Wei Rongjiu, 52 years old, lives in Xingwang Village, Feishan Town, Yi County. At 9 a.m. on December 15, 2009, Fu Wenjiang, Party Secretary of Xingwang Village, ordered Zhong Yuhai, head of the village, to lead Chief of the Yi County Domestic Security Team Tian Guojun, Deputy Chief of the Domestic Security Team Zhang Haiyan, and other policemen to ransack her home. They dragged Ms. Wei into the police vehicle and took her to the Domestic Security Team. Ms. Wei was fined 1,000 yuan. Later on, the police forced her to pay 2,000 yuan. She was released on the eighth day of being in custody.
14. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Cui, Former Eye Doctor at Dahua Hospital, Was Arrested in July 2009
15. [Panyu City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Liu Yu'e Missing
On January 17, 2010, Ms. Liu Yu'e from Songzi City, Hubei Province, went to Panyu City to visit her relatives. At 7 p.m., she went outside to go shopping and has not been heard from again. Her whereabouts are unknown.
16. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Guizhi and Another Elderly Practitioner Sent to the Shijiazhuang Women's Forced Labor Camp
On the night of December 30, 2009, Ms. Li Guizhi (64 years old) and Ms. Tian (about 60 years old) from Dongxingao Village, Dongxing County, Hebei Province, were arrested while they were talking to people about Falun Gong. They were detained in the Dingxing Detention Center. On January 14, 2010, Zhu Xiaotao from the Domestic Security team gave the notification of forced labor to Ms. Li Guizhi's family. Right now the two practitioners are being detained in the Shijiazhuang Women's Forced Labor Camp.
17. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Fang Shigan, Ms. Chen Shouhua and Ms. Hou Jiyun Sent to Forced Labor Camp
At 6 a.m. on December 15, 2009, Mr. Fang Shigan, about 50 years old, from Ezhuang Village, Ezhuang Township, Zichuan District, was arrested. His home was also ransacked. Later on, he was sentenced to 18 months in a forced labor camp.
Ms. Chen Shouhua from Xishi Village, Ezhuang Township, in her 50's, was sentenced to 15 months in a forced labor camp.
Ms. Hou Jiyun, who is in her 40's, was taken to the Zichuan District Police Station. She has been detained in a forced labor camp for 12 months. The police took away a computer, a printer, two cell phones, 1,400 yuan in cash, a pair of gold earrings, two silver dollars, a bank book and other valuables from her home.
18. [Yutian County, Hebei Province] Ms. Xu Cuiyun and Ms. Shao Shumin Detained in a Detention Center
On January 19, 2010, Ms. Xu Cuiyun and. Ms. Shao Shumin were transferred to a detention center from the lock-up center.
19. [Wanyuan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wang Mingying and Ms. Zhang Zhenhua on a Hunger Strike for Many Days
On January 17, 2010, Ms. Wang Mingying and Ms. Zhang Zhenhua were arrested. They have been on a hunger strike for more than 10 days in the detention center.
20. [Qingzhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Chengrong Sent to the Jinan Women's Prison
On May 1, 2009, Ms. Li Chengrong was arrested by officers from the Zhuliang Town Police Station and the Qingzhou Domestic Security Team. Now she is being detained in the Jinan Women's Prison.
21. [Beijing] Ms. Bian Baozhen Arrested
On December 26, 2009, Ms. Bian Baozhen from Changping District was taken to the Liucun Detention Center from her workplace. The police also took away Dafa books, copies of Minghui Weekly and other property. Her whereabouts is now unknown.
22. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Chang Arrested
At noon on January 27, 2010, Gao Jianxi and Cui Jindian from the Raoyang County Police Department led domestic security officers to Shengshui Village, Raoyang County. They took away practitioner Chang and practitioner Tian's wife. The police also ransacked their homes and took away their computers.
23. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Mr. Zhu Ming, Ms. Liu Li, Ms. Zuo Qixiang and Ms. Liu Hefang Facing Illegal Trial
On April 18, 2009, Mr. Zhu Ming, Ms. Liu Li, Ms. Zuo Qixiang and Ms. Li Hefang were arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Team of the Guichi District Police Department while they were distributing Falun Gong materials. They were detained in the Chizhou Detention Center. On February 2, 2010, the Hefei Court was scheduled to hold a session against them. Ms. Li Hefang has been released.
24. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zheng Renyu, a Teacher from the Pantang Central Elementary School in Xinzhou, Sent to Wuhan on January 27, 2010
25. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Liang Lijun from Dabu County
Ms. Liang Lijun from Dabu County, Meizhou City, Guangdong Province works as an accountant for a real estate firm in Jishou, Hunan Province. On the afternoon of January 29, 2010, she was arrested as she tried to take a flight out of the Shenzhen Airport.
26. [Pingliang City, Gansu Province] Public Security Departments Plan to Sentence Li Ya and Ding Xiaoqin, Who Are Detained in the Huating County Detention Center
27. [Yakeshi City, Inner Mongolia] Seven Falun Dafa Practitioners Facing Trial
Mr. Zhang Fajun, Ms. Jin Fengyun, Ms. Yang Shuqin, Ms. Ma Yuzhen, Ms. Yang Chunxiang, Ms. Wang Lixia and Ms. Li Chunmei were to face trial at 9 a.m. on February 1, 2010.
28. [Shanghai] Partial List of Falun Gong Practitioners Detained in the Tilanqiao Prison
Mr. Lu Wei, who was born in October 1954, was sentenced to seven years in prison. His wife Chi Bo, who is 52 years old, was also sentenced.
Mr. Shan Dong Hui was sentenced to seven years and six months in prison. Mr. Wang Zhiwei was sent to the Tilanqiao Prison in January 2010.
Mr. Wang Wei, Mr. Fa Zhengping, Mr. Hua Renfa, Mr. Zhou Bin, Mr. Zhou Licheng, Mr. Ding Xianfa, Mr. Hu Linggen and Mr. Liu Peng are on a hunger strike to protest the persecution.
29. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Shan Arrested
At 10 p.m. on January 29, 2010, Mr. Wang Shan from Rizhuang Town was arrested by officers from the Jiudian Police Station while he was distributing Falun Gong materials in a village in Jiudian. On the morning of January 30, 2010, several officers from the Rizhuang Police Station ransacked his home.
30. [Huailai County, Hebei Province] Ms. Lu Dejing Detained in the Second Division of the Hohhot Women's Forced Labor Camp
31. [Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Zhang Longlong Arrested
Mr. Zhang Longlong, 21 years old, is from Linjing Township, Zhenyuan County, Qingyang City, Guansu Province. He works at Shiguan Metal and Plastic Ltd. in Dingshanhu Town, Kunshan City. On January 12, 2010, he was taken away by police from the apartment he rented and was tortured. He is likely to be sentenced to prison.
32. [Chongqing City] Ms. Liu Yuzhen Arrested
On January 22, 2010, six officers from Qianjiang District broke into the home of Ms. Liu Yuzhen and took away Falun Gong materials. Ms. Liu was arrested.
33. [Heishui County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Lu Zhiyong Facing Illegal Trial
On January 26, 2010, the Heishui Court notified Mr. Lu Zhiyong's attorney that the court would set a trial against Mr. Lu on February 1, 2010.
