Zhang Haiyan Detained at Women's Forced Labor Camp in Huhehaote

(Clearwisdom.net) At about 11:00 p.m. on September 28, 2009, Sun Chao, the chief officer for the local police station in Xingshan village of Jinzhou City, Li Yong, the political instructor for the police station, and four other officers including Wang Junjiu broke into the home of Ms. Zhang Haiyan, a resident in Xingshan village. They dragged her, still in her pajamas, into a police car and took her to Jinzhou City Detention Center.

On September 30, Ms. Zhang was forcibly taken to the detention center in Kailu County of Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia. After two months, she was illegally sentenced to one year at the Women's Forced Labor Camp in Huhehaote City.

Ms. Zhang's family confronted Wang Junjiu about her arrest. Wang said the officers were commanded to carry out the arrest by the Public Security Bureau in Kailu County of Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia. Later, her family went to Kailu County Public Security Bureau and were informed that the Bureau had not issued that command at all.
