Feb. 8, 2010

(Clearwisdom.net) On February 5 and 6, the Shen Yun Performing Arts International Company presented three shows in Dallas, Texas.

Audience members moved by the show

Ms. Wang came from Liaoning province in China several months ago and was so happy to see the show. Wang said that she had watched Shen Yun DVD's when she was in China.

"Shen Yun is very good. I liked every act. Shen Yun is already very famous in Mainland China. So, I am not surprised at all to learn that Shen Yun is well-known in the U.S. I hope that one day Shen Yun will perform in China."

Mr. Tang

Mr. Tang is from Guizhou province and is a manager at an international corporation. Because of his job, he visits China frequently every year. "The show is spectacular and gives an excellent presentation of traditional culture. Promoting Chinese tradition is not only meaningful to Chinese people, but also beneficial to the whole world. I noticed that the show attracted many westerners, who are obviously very happy to learn about Chinese tradition. I could tell that it really reached them."

Mr. Yang comes from Northeastern China. He and his wife enjoyed the show last year and came back this year with their children. Mr. Yang said that his whole family enjoyed the show, and pointed out that some Chinese people didn't dare to see the show because of pressure from the Chinese consulate. "It is such a shame that they fear the Communist regime so much. We are in the U.S., why are we so afraid? I have seen Shen Yun every year, and the Communist regime can't do any harm to me."

Ms. Wang is a software engineer from Lanzhou. She and her husband watched the show with their two children. Ms. Wang said that it was very important for children to learn about Chinese culture, and Shen Yun offers them a great opportunity to do so.

"The show is very beautiful. I like the ethnic dance acts and the costumes. Seeing Chinese dancers performing on stage is a wonderful feeling."

Mr. Yang and his wife

Mr. Yang immigrated from Beijing to Hong Kong, and then the U.S. He and his wife visited Mainland China last year. He said, "The show was very touching, and we cried. You cannot find such a wonderful show anywhere else."

Mr. Yang continued, "I have seen performing arts from many countries. However, most of them are just entertainment and I never had an urge to cry during one of them. Shen Yun gave a completely different experience, and somehow I just want to cry. I felt that the show had an immense compassion and power. It also humbled me. I realized that human beings are very limited and divine beings are far more powerful. Chinese culture is amazing."

"My brother and sister-in-law live in New York City, and we will call them today to recommend that they see the show. We will also recommend this show to our friends."

When asked about how Shen Yun shows in Hong Kong were canceled due to interference, Mr. Yang said, "Shen Yun is good for everyone. The Hong Kong government should not have interfered with the show and it should rectify this mistake. I hope that people in Hong Kong and China will get a chance to see this wonderful show."
