On Sunday, April 12, Shen Yun Performing Arts performed a second show in Chicago at the Civic Opera House. Rudy Pamintuan, managing director of Sherman Worldwide, attended the Shen Yun matinee and shared the special meaning that the performance had for him, "Well, I think what was exciting about it is you very rarely see the performing arts from the Far East in a Western setting. So I think that this show was a great representation of the artistic creativity from the Far East."

He had an interesting take on how to introduce the show to others. He said, "I would probably introduce it as an opportunity to see the artistic expression from within China, but here in the United States. It's an intimate exploration of the art and soul of the Chinese here in America. It's a little bit of a sneak-peak, because there's not much written out there, there's not much you see in magazines or newspapers that talk about the arts from China. So it's an opportunity to see it in full, vivid color. This was a great opportunity. It was very colorful, it was very visual and it was moving."
