(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties and 10 provinces. In this report, 12 practitioners were subjected to brutal mistreatment during their detention and at least 10 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1, [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Sulan Secretly Sentenced to Nine Years in Prison
In 2009, Ms. Wang Sulan from Tangshan City was arrested in Beijing by police officer Wang Degang and others from the Qinghe Police Department. Ms. Wang was secretly sentenced to 9 years in prison. On March 25, 2010 she was taken to the "Dispatching Center for prisoners from other areas in Beijing" (also known as Tianhe Prison of Beijing City).
2. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center Intensifies Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners
In 2010, the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center in Lanzhou City intensified the persecution of practitioners Ms. Su Jinxiu, Ms. Du Wenhui, Ms. Chen Guifang and Ms. Zhang Xiaomei. Chen Guifang was held in a small cell for about 10 days. Many people were assigned to monitor her and try to brainwash her. Ms. Chen's health is poor.
3. [Tianjin] Ms. Li Cuiling Arrested
On April 6, 2010, Ms. Li Cuiling from Hedong District in Tianjin was arrested by a policeman from the Chentangzhuang Police Station in Hexi District while she clarified the truth. Her home was also ransacked.
4. [Shan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Dong Huihong and Mr. Zhang Chuanyao Arrested
On March 24, 2010, Mr. Tong Huihong and Mr. Zhang Chuanyao were arrested.
5. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Che Chengyun and Ms. Sun Fengqin Persecuted
Mr. Che Chengyun, 53 years old, is from Qiansu Village, Luocun Township, Zichuan District, Zibo City. Since 1999, he has been persecuted and forced to undergo brainwashing sessions multiple times. On the morning of February 2, 2010, while he was talking to people about Falun Gong at the Damiao Festival in Bianhe Township, Zibo District, Mr. Che was arrested by the Hebian Police Station and taken to the Zibo District Detention Station. He has been sent to one and a half years of "labor re-education" and is now detained in the Wangcun Labor Camp.
Ms. Sun Fengqin from the Qilu Petrochemical Company is in her 50s. After she was arrested, she was sentenced to one year of labor re-education. She is currently detained in the Wangchun Labor Camp.
6. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Sun Haibo Arrested
After Mr. Sun Haibo from Hengren County, Benxi City was arrested, he was sentenced to 2 years in prison on April 2, 2010.
7. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Qiu Chunhua Arrested
At the end of March, 2010, while Ms. Qiu Chunhua was distributing truth-clarification materials, she was arrested and taken to a detention station.
8. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Guo Zhouxing Arrested
At the end of March, 2010, Mr. Guo Zhouxing was arrested by the police while he was distributing truth-clarification materials. He was taken away by the police with his wrists handcuffed in the painful position of one arm over his shoulder and the other around his waist behind his back. His home was ransacked. Mr. Guo is currently detained in the Maoming Detention Station.

9. [Haikou City, Hainan Province] Yu Jinmei Still Detained in the Haikou City Brainwashing Center
Ms. Yu Jinmei, who graduated with a Masters degree from Tsinghua University, was arrested by the police and the 610 Office branch of Haikou City, Hainan Province. She is still detained in the Haikou brainwashing center and is not allowed family visits.

10. [Fuzhou City, Fujian Province] Ms. Huang Meiying Arrested
On the early morning of April 8, 2010, the home of Ms. Huang Meiying from Fuzhou City was broken into by local police. Later, Huang Meiying was arrested. She is currently detained in the Fuzhou No. 1 Detention Station. The police took away two computers, one printer and some truth-clarification DVDs.
11. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Qiu Guoju Persecuted
A little after 9:00 p.m., April 6, 2010, Liu Guanghua from the 610 Office of Fengrong Township, Pengzhou City, along with eight policemen from the Danjinshan Police Station, broke into the home of Ms. Qiu Guorong. They ransacked her home and took away her Dafa books. Qiu Guorong escaped with righteous thoughts, but she has had to become homeless to avoid further persecution.
12. [Zharantun City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Updated Information on Practitioners under Persecution
Ms. Yu Zhenjie, sentenced to 3 years in prison, currently detained in the Zharantun Detention Station.
Ms. Meng Huiling, sentenced to 8 months in prison, currently detained in the Zharantun Detention Station.
Ms. Sun Yulian, sentenced to 6 months in prison, currently detained in the Zharantun Detention Station.
Mr. Wang Yuming, sentenced to 1 year of labor re-education, currently detained in the Hailaer Labor Camp.
The homes of these four practitioners were ransacked on November 9, 2009.
13. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Zhao Guirong Arrested
Ms. Zhao Guirong from Daban Township, Youqi District, Chifeng City, along with another practitioner, were arrested by the local police between April 6 to April 7, 2010. They are currently detained in the Youqi Detention Center.
14. [Xiaogan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Yang Maoming Beaten and Injured by Police from the 110 Office
At around 10:00 a.m. on April 7, 2010, Mr. Yang Maoming from Xiaogan City was reported while he was distributing truth-clarification flyers on Xiang'ao Road. He was beaten by police from the 110 Office (an emergency dispatch office, similar to 911 in the U.S.), who injured his right eye and left leg. They arrested Yang Maoming and took him to the local police station in handcuffs. After about 2 hours, Yang Maoming was released. He was bedridden after he returned home..
