(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Wang Yongbin, 53 years old, is a farmer from Situan Village, Fengxian District in Shanghai City. He started practicing Falun Gong in 1998. On the morning of March 24, officials from the Shanghai City Fengxian District 610 Office and policemen from Pingan Police Department broke into his home and ransacked it. They arrested Wang Yongbin and detained him at Fengxian District Detention Center.
After the persecution against Falun Dafa started on July 20, 1999, Wang Yongbin was arrested by legal system perpetrators in 2000. He was illegally sentenced to two years in a forced labor camp and endured inhumane torture. He was finally released in 2002.
Wang Yongbin has been repeatedly interrogated, threatened and secretly followed by spies of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). His family is also facing tremendous pressure. At 10 p.m. on August 16, 2007, he was once again taken into custody by members of the CCP from his home. He was subsequently detained at Fengxian District Detention Center and sentenced to one year and three months in a forced labor camp.
