The Most Blessed Days in My Life

April 7, 2010 |   By a practitioner in southwest China

(Clearwisdom.net) There are numerous ways to define being blessed. For me, I feel most blessed when I progress diligently in cultivation and when helping Teacher rectify the Fa.

Days with Teacher

For more than twelve years I worked in a mine where I had to stay next to an oven that refined lead all day. As a result, I developed many health problems in my thirties because of lead poisoning. Lead was in my blood and urine, and I had heart and kidney problems. In addition, my face was paralyzed, I had neck pain, and I weighed about 70 pounds.

On May 20, 1994, I attended Teacher's lectures in Chongqing, Sichuan. On the first day of class, Teacher said that he did not heal illnesses, and that if we wanted to do so, we should go to the hospital or find another qigong master. After hearing this, I was disappointed. However, when Teacher said that what he taught was the Buddha Fa, I was energized because I love listening to Buddhist teachings. Although I felt physically awful for the first three days, I followed Teacher's advice, and went to class every day.

On the fourth day, I felt completely relaxed and comfortable. It was already hot in May, but once I entered the lecture hall, I didn't feel any heat. Instead, it felt cool and comfortable. No one felt the need for a fan. A practitioner whose third eye was open told me that he saw numerous Falun in the lecture hall falling onto the bodies of those who truly wanted to practice.

Helping Teacher Rectify the Fa and Save Sentient Beings

After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), I went with other practitioners to the local government to tell them about Falun Dafa. Our efforts were in vain however, because the media was continuously broadcasting the CCP's slanderous propaganda about the practice. I then decided to let more people know what truly happened.

I told people the truth about Falun Dafa and the CCP's persecution whenever I could and wherever I went. Practitioners and I later bought a copy machine to mass produce truth-clarification materials in order to reach more people with the truth. I then went out to distribute them and encouraged other practitioners to do the same.

In August 2001, I was illegally arrested and sent to a forced labor camp for a year. There, I told the inmates, the guards, and collaborators about the beauty of Falun Dafa until the day I was released.

I have persisted in going out every day to clarify the truth about the persecution, and have encountered many miracles along the way. I have also encountered people with different attachments and ideas. Some knelt down to thank me, some threatened to call the police, some felt close to me and treated me warmly, and some wanted to get more of the materials I gave them. Every day, I noticed my xinxing improving little by little. I started to understand what Teacher said about being compassionate, "Without 'nothing,' it is a human feeling. If it is a human feeling, then it's not bei (compassion)." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2004 Western U. S. Conference")

Teacher always protects me and gives me hints. When I clarify the truth, I often tell people, "I have never tried to intentionally influence my family members, but they gradually changed their opinion about Falun Dafa after recognizing the power and goodness of the practice. My daughter, daughter-in-law and son-in-law used to be unfilial. My son-in-law once threatened to kick me out of the house because I talked to people about Falun Dafa. Now they are all respectful. My son-in-law apologized to me and promised to make it up to me. My grandchildren believe in Falun Dafa. Everyone in my family is healthy and happy."

I truly feel blessed. Looking back on my life, I really didn't understand what is was like to be blessed until the moment I walked into Teacher's lecture. The time I spent with Teacher and the happiness I experienced is unforgettable.
