Practitioners from Two Families Arrested in Chongqing City, Sichuan Province (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) At 11 a.m. on August 7, 2010, Luo Yonghong, captain of the Domestic Safety Brigade of the Tongnan County Public Safety Bureau in Chongqing City, police officers from Guilin Police Station the secretary and head of Xibu Village went to Mr. Huang Wenjie's house. Without a warrant, they broke into Mr. Huang's house and arrested other practitioners in the house, including Ms. Wang Fenglin (Mr. Huang's wife), Mr. Zhang Hongxu and Mr. Zhang's 11-year-old daughter Zhang Yuanyuan.


Zhang Yuanyuan was kidnapped by a police officer and held for half a year when she was four years old.

The police searched Mr. Huang and his uncle Zhang's houses. They confiscated a computer, a printer and a DVD burner from his uncle's house. In the afternoon, Luo brought 20 other people and searched Ms. Wang's house.

Details of the Recent Arrest

Zhang Yuanyuan, 11, lives in Wachangwan with her parents Mr. Zhang and Ms. Wu. On August 7, 2010, Mr. Zhang took Yuanyuan to Mr. Huang's house to play with his daughter. The police took her into that day along with her father and Ms. Wang.

According to a witness, on August 7, police officer Li Hengyi and several others took Yuanyuan to a room in Guilin Police Station. The police turned the temperature of the air conditioner down until the room was freezing cold.

At around 10 p.m. that night, the witness heard Yuanyuan from outside of Guilin Police Station crying and yelling, "I want my father! Give me my father! I want to go home with my father!" The girl shouted for a long time until she could not speak clearly. At around 11 p.m., Li and three female officers dragged Yuanyuan into a car and drove her to a relative's house. They left Yuanyuan there and drove away.

On the morning of August 8, while her relatives were busy working on their house, Yuanyuan left the house. Her whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Wang, in her 30s, worked in a machinery factory in Tongnan County. She began to practice Falun Gong in 1997. She married Mr. Huang and moved to Xibu Village in Guilin Town. She was also arrested on August 7, 2010.

Currently Mr. Zhang and Ms. Wang's whereabouts are unknown.

Previous Incidents of Persecution

Mr. Zhang Hongxu, 44 years old, lived in Wachangwan, Zitong Town. He used to work for a coal company in Tongnan County. He began to practice Falun Gong in March 1998. In 2000, he was arrested and sent to a forced labor camp in Xishanping, Chongqing City. During the two years of his detention he was tortured until he was emaciated; one of his front teeth were broken; his nose was fractured; he was forced fed three times, twice he was taken to hospital for emergency rescue because of incorrectly used feeding tubes. He was released in 2002. In October 2003, the police tried to take him to a brainwashing center. He escaped and did not return home.

In December 2003, Zhang Liang from the Domestic Safety Brigade arrested Mr. Zhang's wife, Ms. Wu Yongmei.
