Ms. Lin Shuqing's Home Ransacked by Police from Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province

Aug. 30, 2010 |   By a Clearwisdom correspondent from Heilongjiang Province, China

(Clearwisdom.net) A policeman came to Ms. Lin Shuqing's home claiming to be there to check her residence card at around 9:00 a.m. on April 23, 2010. Ms. Lin responded that her residence card was at her daughter's home and didn't open the door.

The policeman didn't leave, however, and instead ordered Ms. Lin's neighbor to trick Ms. Lin into opening the door. Upon hearing the familiar voice of her neighbor, Ms. Lin opened her door and the policeman immediately rushed into her home. He illegally searched her home and then called the 610 Office and three policemen, who also came out to participate in the search.

The four policemen confiscated her desktop computer, laptop, laser printer, color inkjet printer, a watch worth over 2,000 yuan, a DVD player, an MP3 player, a cell phone, three lamps, two boxes of printer paper, and 10,000 yuan in cash without documenting what they took. None of Ms. Lin's belongings or money have been returned.
