(Clearwisdom.net) My father is a teacher in a middle school and, like many Chinese, he has been deeply poisoned by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) culture. He is therefore opposed to my cultivating Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and trying to raise myself up to become a better person. Atheism is deeply ingrained in him and he also has a strong fear of the CCP. Carried along by the fallen moral standard in modern day China, he was proud of the fact that he believed in nothing.
When I sent my father a DVD of the Shen Yun Performing Arts show earlier this year, he said he could not watch it because he did not have a DVD player. So I invited him to watch it on my computer. I also told him that the show was not an ordinary one and many people had recovered from their illnesses after they watched it. He looked at me with disdain and from the look on his face, I could tell that he did not believe what I was saying.
Nevertheless, my father watched the DVD with me. Sitting in front of my computer, I noticed how his facial expression had changed from before and after watching the show. Initially, his mind was elsewhere, but as he continued to watch Shen Yun, the expression on his face softened and he became quite cheerful. He said, "It is so beautiful! This is the highest art! It is infinitely better than those messed up things we see on television. It just makes me feel so comfortable."
My father was very excited and called me a few days later. He said that he had experienced several miracles after watching the show. His legs used to hurt terribly, but after watching Shen Yun he no longer had any pain in them, and was even able to walk much quicker than before. My father also used to suffer from insomnia, and only able to have a few hours sleep at night. After watching the show he said he is finally able to get a long, good night's rest. He says that it's a miracle and he's really happy.
He told me, "Falun Dafa is wonderful! Master is so great!" My father now has a copy of Zhuan Falun and has begun to cultivate in Dafa.
