(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 12 provinces. In this report, 45 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 20 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Hu Meiling Arrested
Ms. Hu Meiling, in her 50s, is from the Shangjie District, Zhengzhou City. She was arrested around 9:00 p.m. on September 19, 2010 as she distributed Falun Gong informational materials at the Shangjie District People's Hospital. She is now in the Shangjie District Detention Center (Tel. 86-371-68924714).
2. [Tianjin] Ms. Deng Guiqiu Arrested and Detained
Ms. Deng Guiqiu from the Hexi District, Tianjin was arrested around 10:30 p.m. on September 20, 2010 as she distributed Falun Gong informational materials in the Hexi District. She is currently detained in the Youyi Road Police Station (Tel. 86-22-88293369).
3. [Pengzhou, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yang Xingyi Arrested
More than a dozen plainclothes officers from the Guangming Police Station in Zhihe Town broke into Ms. Yang Xingyi's home at around 10:00 p.m. on September 19, 2010. They took Ms. Yang to the Sanshengsi Brainwashing Center in Guihua Town. The same group of police officers ransacked Ms. Yang's home the next day.
4. [Pingyin, Shandong Province] Elderly Ms. Lou Guilan Detained
Ms. Lou Guilan was arrested on September 10, 2010 as she spoke with people about Falun Gong in Dong'e County, Liaocheng City. Officers from the Niujiaodian Police Station made the arrest, and ransacked her home. Ms. Lou is currently in the Liaocheng City Detention Center.

5. [Datong, Shanxi Province] Ms. Li Xiulian Held in the Taiyuan City Detention Center
Ms. Li Xiulian from Datong was staying in her daughter's home in Taiyuan City. Xiaodian Police Station officers arrested her around August 31, 2010 and held her in the Taiyuan City Detention Center, where she has been on a hunger strike ever since. She was force-fed and given IV infusions and is in critical condition.

6. [Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Shi Yuxia Imprisoned - belated information
Ms. Shi Yuxia was sent to the Harbin Women's Prison on September 27, 2002. When asked if she practices Falun Gong, she said, "Yes" and was subsequently handcuffed behind her back. She was left this way around the clock, even during sleep. She was also forced to squat from 6:00 a.m. to midnight for five consecutive days. Her legs are numb as a result of the torture.

9. [Benxi, Liaoning Province] Additional Information Regarding the Persecution of Ms. Miao Fenglan and Others
Ms. Zhang Guixiang, 49, Ms. Miao Fengmei, 65, and Ms. Miao Fenglan, 60, were arrested on August 19, 2010 as they spoke with people about Falun Gong. Officers from the Zhanqian Police Station made the arrests and took them to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Labor camp officials refused to accept Ms. Miao Fengmei because a physical examination disqualified her. She was released. Ms. Miao Fenglan was subjected to a forced labor sentence. The police found several CDs, copies of informational materials and 1,000 yuan cash in her handbag when she was arrested.

Yong'an Police Station officers arrested Ms. Liu Suqin on the afternoon of September 20, 2010.

11. [Tumen City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Qingjun Detained
Ms. Zhang Shuhua, Ms. Liu Yaxian and Ms. Zhang Qingjun were sent to a brainwashing facility on September 10, 2010. Ms. Zhang and Ms. Liu have returned home. Ms. Zhang was sent to the Anshan Detention Center on September 19.
12. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Mr. Lin Zhiliang Sentenced to Imprisonment
Mr. Lin Zhiliang was sentenced to five years in prison and is now in the Yaojia Detention Center. His wife Ms. Ji Shuying was given a three-year prison term and is now in the Dabei Women's Prison in Shenyang City.
13. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Chen Yukun Arrested
Ms. Chen Yukun, 60, was arrested on the morning of September 20, 2010.
14. [Jizhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Huang Cheng Harassed Again
Mr. Huang Cheng returned home from the Panjin Prison after he was in a critical condition as a result of severe abuse and torture in the prison. Nuerhe Police Station officer Zhang Zhongxin and community officer Leng Jie harassed him at home.

15. [Yongkang, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Mei Ying and Her Husband Mr. Shao Xiong Held in a Brainwashing Facility at the End of August 2010
16. [Guangzhou, Guangdong Province] Ms. Guo Zhiming Held in the Chatou Women's Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Guo Zhiming was arrested in June 2010 in the Tianhe District and held in the Tianhe Detention Center for two months. She was taken to the Chaotou Women's Forced Labor Camp around August 2010.
17. [Hunan Province] Loudi City 610 Office Agents Persecute Elderly Practitioners
Loudi City 610 Office agents, along with officers from the Domestic Security Division, deceived elderly practitioners Ms. Li Zaiying, Mr. Li Zhenjian, Ms. Xie Xinchun and others on September 19, 2010 into coming to the Loudi City Psychiatric Rehabilitation Hospital. They were each placed in a separate room where four 610 Office agents and police officers attempted to brainwash and threaten them.
As of today, Mr. Cao Gongxun, Mr. Liu Xinping, Mr. Zhou Qingfeng, Mr. Ouyang Zhong and Mr. He Jinlin are being held in the Loudi City Detention Center for one year and two months.
Louxing District Court officials sentenced nine practitioners to prison on August 3, 2010. Mr. Cao Gongxun was handed a ten-year prison term; Mr. Liu Xinping, nine years; Mr. Zhou Qingfeng, five years and six months; Mr. Ouyang Zhong, three years and six months; Mr. He Jinlin, two years; Ms. Deng Lianzhen, Ms. Xie Guirong, Ms. Li Zaiying and Ms. Yuan Qiudi each three years, with four years probation.
Mr. Peng Chuhao, 74, was sentenced to three years in prison at the end of January 2010. Louxing District Domestic Security Division officers sent him to the Wuling Prison in Changde.
Mr. Liang Keming, in his 40s, was given a three-year prison term, and sent to the Jinshi Prison in Changde.

19. [Jilin Province] Qian'an County Domestic Security Division Officers and 610 Office Agents Arrest Practitioners
Qian'an County Domestic Security Division head Song Xuejuan, along with officers from the No.1 Police Station and 610 Office agents, broke into Ms. Li Chunhua's home at 6:00 p.m. on September 16, 2010. They arrested Ms. Li and ransacked her home. Officers from the No.1 Police Station broke into Ms. Cheng Shuqing's home around 4:00 p.m. on September 20, 2010. They arrested Ms. Cheng and ransacked her home. Ms. Zhang Shulan from Shuizi Town was also arrested and her home was ransacked. We have also learned that a brainwashing center was to be set up at the Qian'an County Finance School, and that a number of practitioners were recently harassed.

20. [Chongqing] Ms. Tang Tianzhen Arrested Again
Ms. Tang Tianzhen was repeatedly arrested between 2000 and 2005 and held in a detention center or a brainwashing facility. She made a trip back to Guang'an on July 6, 2010 to attend her mother's funeral. Guang'an police arrested her as she spoke with people on the street about Falun Gong. The police refused to release her and even attempted to coerce her family members to "reform" her. She is in a difficult situation.
