Ms. Wang Lixin and Ms. Li Xiurong in Jiamusi City Illegally Detained for the Past Two Months

Sept. 7, 2010 |   By a Clearwisdom correspondent from Heilongjiang Province

(Clearwisdom.net) On the morning of July 19, 2010, Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Wang Lixin and Ms. Li Xiurong in Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province, were illegally arrested by officers from the Changqing Police Station. They are still in the detention center.

On August 3, 2010, both Ms. Wang's and Ms. Li's families went to the Women's Federation for assistance. They said, "These poor children have no one to take care of them since their mothers have been arrested. Their mothers practice Falun Gong and conduct themselves according to Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. They are good people and they are innocent." The lady at the Women's Federation helped them call the Suburban Police Department of Jiamusi City and asked if they could let the children see their mothers, but their request was denied.

On August 4 and 5, the practitioners' families went to the residential committee. They learned that it was Changqing Police Station officers and several other individuals, acting under the orders of Wang Rongjiang, the head of the residential committee, who ransacked the practitioners' homes.

On the morning of August 6, 2010, the families went to the Changqing Police Station to request the release of the two practitioners. The authorities did not comply. Later, the families went to the Suburban Procuratorate and the City Procuratorate. The employees at the Suburban Procuratorate refused to let them in and those at the City Procuratorate treated the practitioners' family members very rudely.

On the morning of August 16, Ms. Li Xiurong's daughter went to the police department with another adult. A senior police officer told them that Ms. Li had been sentenced to forced labor and that they could inquire at the Changqing Police Station for more information.

On August 18, the practitioners' families went to Changqing Police Station to request the release of Ms. Wang and Ms. Li. Police officer Jin Zehua threatened Ms. Wang's third-oldest sister and shoved Ms. Li's husband.

On August 19 and 20, several relatives went again to Changqing Police Station to ask after Ms. Wang and Ms. Li. Zhao Ming, the head of the police station, threatened Ms. Li's daughter and Ms. Wang's two nieces, saying that he would report them to the 610 Office. Then he pushed and shoved the two children and elderly lady outside.

On August 23, the practitioners' families returned to the Changqing Police Station and approached Zhao Ming directly. Again Zhao Ming threatened them and told them not to make this issue public, or else he would send letters to the colleges that the practitioners' children and young relatives were attending.
