(Clearwisdom.net) During the past 15 years, I studied the Fa every day without interruption. During my Fa-study, I looked inward and eliminated my attachments. Each step was under Teacher's compassionate protection. Throughout my cultivation, I have clearly remembered to validate the Fa, clarify the truth, and save sentient beings.
My Entire Family Benefited from Dafa
I was very fortunate to acquire the Fa in 1996. After watching the Fa-lecture series, Teacher completely purified my entire body. The diseases I'd had for many years, such as gastric diseases, serious brain blood supply insufficiency and abdominal pain, completely disappeared. After witnessing these miracles, many of my relatives, friends, colleagues and neighbors started to practice Falun Gong one after another.
My husband and mother-in-law both greatly benefited from Dafa. My husband had severe cervical vertebra problems for two years. He had to lie down on his bed and could not do anything. When he watched Teacher's Fa Lecture in Jinan, on the seventh day, Teacher purified his body. He could go to work again. His workplace also recognized his good qualities and he was promoted to research scientist (professor level). My husband took the provincial level foreign language test and other professional tests in order to be promoted to research scientist, and placed among the top scores for all the tests. The people in his workplace were all very surprised. My husband told them how he benefited from Dafa. He told them that Falun Dafa is good and persuaded them to cultivate in Dafa. Many people in his workplace started to practice Falun Gong after that.
My mother-in-law was over 80 years old at that time. She had a bump on her hand for many years which could not be cured. She joined us to listen to Teacher's Fa lectures for a few days, and the bump on her hand disappeared. She was very excited and said, “Master Li is a divine being! Master Li is a divine being! We should respect him.” Her genuine respect moved many predestined people around her.
Clarifying the Truth Wherever We Go
Since July 20, 1999, the evil Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started to persecute Falun Gong publicly. In order to safeguard Dafa and restore Teacher's reputation, and because a classmate of mine was detained there, I went to the police station near our practice site to discuss the facts about Falun Dafa. I spoke loudly. The chief of the police station heard me and came to listen. I told them that Falun Gong not only improved my health, but also improved my moral standard. I used the great benefits I gained from Dafa physically and mentally as examples to explain to them that Dafa can only do great good for society. The chief of the police station called me to his office and told me, “Please go home. We also do not know why the CCP wants to do this.”
One month later, the police station sent officers to check on me every two days. When the police came, I clarified the truth to them. They tried to “transform” me, but instead, I saved them. They told me that they were not against Falun Gong and that they would not persecute Falun Gong practitioners. However, they also asked me not to tell anyone else, otherwise they would lose their jobs.
After I retired, I provided financial services for a private firm. I discussed Falun Dafa with my colleagues. I also used their printing and copying capabilities to print informational materials. In the night, I passed out the materials with other practitioners, which restrained the evil factors in our local area.
I also established a family-based truth-clarification materials production site with other practitioners. We produced massive amounts of informational materials and sent them to the practitioners and other people within the shortest time possible. Practitioners considered each piece of material as an effective weapon with which to clarify the truth. They posted flyers in prominent places. I also fully utilized paper money with informational words written on it to save sentient beings. I brought the money with me everywhere I went, since my children worked in different cities. When I shopped for vegetables, I paid the vendor with it and explained to him what the words written on the back meant. This way, it was just part of the transaction and did not interrupt him from conducting business, but it became a means of explaining the facts about Falun Dafa and persuading him to quit the CCP. When people gave me trouble about it, I sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil behind them.
No matter where I went, I left my righteous thoughts and compassion there. I did not want to miss any opportunities. I left my smile and good thoughts to the people I passed by. If by any chance I saw that person again, they would say we met before. Then I directly told them that it was predestined and that it was their good fortune. I explained the facts to them, eliminating any confusion they might have about Dafa, until they requested to quit the CCP. Then I told them to let their relatives and friends know the truth, so that they can be saved, too.
When my husband and I went back to my hometown, I asked Teacher to strengthen me and to thoroughly eliminate all the evil factors that prevent the predestined people from knowing the truth. I wanted all the predestined people to know the truth, quit the CCP and be saved. When I arrived home, more than ten of my relatives were there. I took the opportunity, asked Teacher to give me the wisdom, and then told them about the miracle of Dafa and the amazing things that have happened around me. I told them my neighbor's story. My neighbor was over 70 years old, and she did not have any illness after practicing Falun Gong. When she went through the retirement procedures, the officials called her name and she answered. The officials said, “We did not call you. This is for a 71-year-old senior.” The people beside her told the officials that she was indeed the person they were looking for. The officials were very surprised and said they thought she was less than 50 years old. She was knocked down twice by vehicles, but she was not injured at all. The people who hit her were frightened, but she told them, “You can go. I practice Falun Gong. I am fine.” I also told my relatives the story in the Shen Yun Performance about Monk Jigong carrying away the bride in order to save the whole village. All my relatives nodded and acknowledged Dafa. They also withdrew from the CCP. They sincerely recited “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” I also told them that they should not only know that Falun Dafa is good, they should also tell people around them.
My nephew is 48 years old. He has always acknowledged that Falun Dafa is good, but he did not cultivate in Dafa. Once, he told me that he did not feel good and his leg was swollen. He went to the doctor for an examination, but no illness was found. I told him to practice the exercises and study the Fa with me. He brought Zhuan Falun back home and read one chapter every day. On the fifth day, he told me, “Aunt, my leg is not swollen anymore. My body feels strong. When I went out to ride my tricycle for work, I recited in my heart that Falun Dafa is good and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good. Previously I could only earn a little over ten yuan every day. During the past few days I earned over 80 yuan each day. I studied the Fa and recited 'Falun Dafa is good,' which also helped with my job. Dafa is really miraculous. I must let my whole family know that Falun Dafa is good.” On the sixth day he told me again, “Aunt, a miracle happened again. Today at noon I was cooking. I put the frying pan on the gas stove, and then I went to see if the rice was ready. I found out the electricity was out. I started to fix it, but I forgot that the gas stove was still burning. The frying pan caught on fire. The fire had already reached the ceiling. The ceiling was made of reed, which is very flammable, but nothing happened. I grabbed the frying pan and threw it into the yard. If the two gas tanks caught fire and exploded, the consequences would have been horrible. I just started to study the Fa, but Teacher is already protecting me all the time. I truly understand why there are so many people around the world who practice Falun Gong. I must follow what Teacher told us to do and repay Teacher's grace.”
Enduring Difficulties and Saving Sentient Beings
My husband's family members all believed in Dafa before July 20, 1999, when the persecution began. After July 20, 1999, they believed the evil party's propaganda and were against my cultivation. They considered me a fool and insulted me. My mother-in-law scolded me in front of many people. I remembered that I am a Falun Dafa practitioner and I had to endure the difficulties, so I just smiled. When they insulted me about being a fool, I told them that a fool did not create karma.
Once, my two sisters-in-law questioned me in front of their parents, “Where have you used our brother's money all these years?” They asked me to list all the expenses. At first I was irritated. Then Teacher displayed the golden words of “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance” in front of me. I also remembered what Teacher taught us,
“So from now on in your practice you’ll run into all kinds of tribulations. How could you cultivate without them? With everybody treating each other nicely, with no clashes in trying to get ahead, and nothing interfering with your mind, you’d just sit there and your character would improve? That’s not how it works. A person has to truly temper himself in real-life situations—that’s the only way you can improve.” (Zhuan Falun)
I thought that I am a practitioner and that Teacher led me to save them. So I smiled and answered, “You can ask about your brother's money. You want me to report the past 20 to 30 years of expenses, but I did not record them and I might miss something.” So I started to list all the expenses, including my in-laws' everyday expenses, our two children's everyday expenses and the expense of going to college. I told them that there was no extra income and it all came from our salary. Then my in-laws said to their daughters, “It is not your business.”
Then I told them, “You knew that I cultivate Falun Dafa. If this was before I started to cultivate Dafa, would you dare to question me like this? I cultivate Falun Dafa. My Teacher told me to be a good person and a person who lives for others. Your brother's body and my body were both purified by Teacher. Teacher taught us how to be noble people and people with great virtue. I really hope you will also read Zhuan Falun.”
My sisters-in-law then felt regretful and expressed their acknowledgment of Dafa. They also withdrew from the CCP and its related organizations. Since then, they also recite “Falun Dafa is good” together with me.
At the end of 2006, I went to my daughter's home in Shanghai to take care of my grandson. I took care of all the housework in my daughter's home. I treated everyone and everything around me kindly. I used my actions to validate the Fa. My daughter fully supported my cultivation of Dafa. My son-in-law also did not object.
When my grandson was one year old, he started to learn to speak. The first time he spoke, he said clearly, “Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” The entire family was very shocked. My son-in-law asked me, “Did you teach him?” I said, “Yes. It was me.” He was unhappy and told me, “I don't care how you practice Falun Gong. Don't teach my son bad things.” I said, “There are many children in the world who cultivate Dafa. Look at our Yangyang. He is smart and healthy.” He said, “You don't need to tell me this. If you do not want to stay here, you can leave.” I understood it was a test, but I could not help crying.
I did not pass this test. Then the next test came. My son-in-law would not talk to me anymore. I am a practitioner, so I did not lower myself to the same level as him. I tried to talk to him again and again. Finally he talked. I told him that I cultivate in Falun Dafa and my Teacher told me to live for others. He got angry again and did not allow me to finish. He pointed his finger at my nose and said, “So do you mean I am wrong?” I did not argue with him. When I went back to my room, I held Teacher's photo and said to Teacher, “Teacher, where did I do wrong?” I studied Zhuan Falun over and over, but actually in my heart, I did not let go. I was afraid to offend my son-in-law again and make everyone unhappy.
Without passing this test, a new test came along. My husband stopped cultivating after July 20, 1999. At this time, he became fearful and ill. We had to go back to our home in Shandong Province. Practitioners came to my house in turn to study the Fa together with him. But my husband still could not get rid of his fear. He went to the doctor for treatment, but that did not help either. My mind could not calm down at all.
I used a lot of time to study the Fa and shared experiences with practitioners. Then I truly understood what Teacher taught us,
“If you don’t sever emotion, you won’t be able to cultivate. But if you do break out of emotion, nobody can affect you, and ordinary attachments won’t be able to sway you. What replaces it is compassion, which is more noble.” (Zhuan Falun)
With Teacher's protection, I let go of all my human notions. I did not complain anymore. I took the initiative to call my son-in-law and apologized to him. In the end, my son-in-law acknowledged his mistake. My husband also came back to cultivation of the Fa. His health also completely recovered.
When I recall my path of cultivation, I could not have walked every step without Teacher's compassionate protection. At this last moment of Fa-rectification cultivation, I will walk the last step well, do the three things that Teacher asked us to do well, truly cultivate myself during the salvation of the sentient beings, reach consummation and return to my true home with Teacher.
