(Clearwisdom.net) Around 10:00 a.m. on October 12, 2010, Zhao Weiyong from the 610 Office in the North Lake District of Chenzhou, Hunan Province, brought with him ten hired thugs and broke into Ms. Chen Binge’s home. They arrested her and took her to the “Law Study Camp” in the North Lake District Chinese Communist Party (CCP) School in Chenzhou. Ms. Chen was detained and forced to attend a brainwashing session. In the class, several CCP members dragged her by her arms, causing severe bruising. When she asked them why they were being so rough, they replied, “It’s because you should not study Falun Gong.”

Ms. Chen went on a hunger strike to resist the persecution. They tried everything, including threats and promises to release her, to get Ms. Chen to write a pledge to not practice Falun Gong anymore. Ms. Chen refused to sign, so they extorted 1,824 yuan from her daughter and tried to get the daughter to sign for her. Ms. Chen shouted, “Don’t sign anything! I did not give permission for anyone to sign on my behalf! Your demand for money is illegal. You arrested me without cause, and I did not take any food from you. Why should I pay?”
