Making a Distinction between Assimilating to Dafa Positively and Shouldering the Pressure Passively

Jan. 7, 2011 |   By a practitioner in China

(Clearwisdom.net) After I finished practicing the exercises this morning, a phrase came to mind: "Assimilating to Dafa positively and shouldering pressure passively.”

Recalling my cultivation path, it occurred to me that most of the time I was shouldering the pressure passively instead of assimilating to Dafa positively. No matter what happened, I couldn't treat it based on the Fa, but dealt with it with sentimentality and human notions. You can imagine the result. I always wanted to arrange and plan everything for my family and provide them with a comfortable life. I was immersed in sentimentality. In the end, I experienced disappointment, hurt, and complaints. I changed nothing and was surrounded by annoyance. I didn’t look within for my attachments, but was overpowered by them, because they were all based on human emotions. I had no choice but to let them go in despair. I carried the pressure passively instead of cultivating myself positively.

I started to study the Fa with a peaceful mind. Gradually I learned what cultivation entailed and stopped being immersed in qing. I learned to follow Teacher’s Fa and look inside whenever I encountered difficulties. When I experienced bad thoughts and emotions, I could find them and eliminate them. I realized that they were not the real me. I let them go and was no longer governed by them. I changed my way of thinking, considered others first, and assimilated to Dafa positively. I no longer looked at things with human notions, but with kindness and compassion. My heart becomes steady when I cultivate in Dafa. I no longer have emotions of great joy, sadness, love, and hatred. I have become more relaxed. My mind has become clear and clean. Cultivating in Dafa allows a person to reach such a great realm!

Thank you, Master!
