On the afternoon of September 20, 2011, Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Liu Jinqiang, Ms. Wang Jing, and another practitioner were riding three-wheeled vehicles to go shopping in Dezhou City. At the west end of Mengzhuang Village in Jing County, they were followed by police officers from Dezhou City, Shandong Province. The officers, with weapons in their hands, then arrested them. During the arrest, the officers pulled the practitioners' hair, pushed them into a police vehicle, and drove them to the Dezhou Detention Center. They also robbed the practitioners of their purchases, valued at more than 10,000 yuan. They abandoned Mr. Liu's three-wheeled vehicle by the roadside.
Mr. Liu teaches at Wangqiansi Township Middle School in Jing County and lives in Liuxiaozhuang, Wangqiansi Township. On the morning of the 21st, more than 20 individuals, led by Liu Shulin, who is secretary of the local CCP (Chinese Communist Party) Committee, and including Li Guisheng from Jing County Police Bureau and officers from Wangqiansi Police Station ransacked Mr. Liu's home. Three officers climbed over the residence gate and into his private courtyard. They pinned Mr. Liu's teenaged son down and charged into the home. They confiscated a great amount of personal property including a laptop, totalling more than 20,000 yuan.
At this time, both Mr. Liu and Ms. Wang are still detained in Dezhou Detention Center. The other practitioner, Mr. Zhao Jinrui from Qingyun County, Shandong Province, is currently detained in Qingyun County.
