(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhan Xingchao, who works for the Harbin Railway Bureau, was first arrested in January 2008 and was detained at his work place. He was then taken to the No.1 Division of Suihua Forced Labor Camp in Heilongjiang Province, where practitioners are physically and mentally tortured. They are often forced to sit or stand for long periods of time, shocked with electric batons, deprived of sleep, burned with cigarettes and forced to do hard labor. Practitioners also have to sing songs that praise the Chinese Communist Party and recite the labor camp regulations. Once Mr. Zhan was hung up for three days, and his fingers were burned with cigarettes.

Mr. Zhan was arrested again and taken to Yichun Brainwashing Center on September 6, 2011. It is located on the fourth floor of a building just across from the old city hall. The first three floors of the building are used as an entertainment center. The doors of some of the rooms in the brainwashing center are always closed. Nine of the staff members in the center are in charge of persecuting practitioners.
