(Clearwisdom.net) The immense Fa-rectification is advancing by leaps and bounds. I would like to share my experience in assisting Master to rectify the Fa and save sentient beings during this last period of Fa Rectification.
1. Studying the Fa with a Calm Heart Is the Fundamental Guarantee of Improvement
I'm a Falun Dafa local assistant and also help with logistics work in media projects run by practitioners. I also deliver newspapers for The Epoch Times, help promote Shen Yun Performing Arts, and participate in the coordination of various Bay Area activities. At home I have elders to take care of and also have a regular job. Arranging my Fa-study, cultivation, and doing the three things well is the biggest issue I face.
There isn't enough time. During Fa-study I enlightened to the idea that in everything we do, we are acting while penetrating all time-space. When we study the Fa with a calm heart, the Fa gives us hints on how to handle the things we are facing. The cultivation environment is developed through cultivation. At work I don't have many things to do. I study the Fa, and I let every word go through my heart for every lecture of Fa I read. Through my celestial eye, I can see the Fa penetrating through countless spaces. Every word is a Falun. In deep dimensions, every word is Master's Fashen gesturing big hand signs. At this time, my body is empty. There is no self, only my dissolving into the Fa. My field radiates with golden rays. The substance (life) in each dimension follows the mechanism of the universe, turning nine times clockwise and nine times counter-clockwise. That scene is incomparably holy and spectacular. The more I study, the more I want to study. Every hour I stop to send forth righteous thoughts, clearing away the evil and unrighteous elements in my own field. Lives are being transformed, returning to the new universe. When I see these lives become numerous beings, I shed tears from time to time. Master is great! He scooped us up from hell. No attachment is the real me. Every particle is Truth-Compassion-Forbearance.
When I came to this point in my writing, unrighteous elements in layers of dimensions disintegrated. This was truly wonderful beyond words. Not studying Fa for a day is like not eating for a day. Lives over there all scurry about urgently. When I calm my heart, the sound of those substances disintegrating also gradually dies down. Compassionate energy surrounds me. My mind is clear, and “Xining Siyu” (verse from the fourth exercise, Falun Cosmic Orbit, meaning “The heart is clear like pure jade,” in The Great Consummation Way of Falun Dafa) At this time, I can clearly see the state of my heart and mind. External elements are a result of my attachment. When I study the Fa with a calm heart, the power of Fa is eliminating internal attachments and external disruptions simultaneously.
In Touring North America to Teach the Fa, Master taught us,
“It is extremely important for every Dafa disciple to study the Fa well.”
“The reason is, that gigantic cosmic body is below you, it's almost like your body, because that's how gigantic you are. There are countless sentient beings and countless cosmic firmaments inside there. Your cultivation determines whether those gigantic groups of beings are good or bad, and whether they can be kept or not! … The higher your level, the more you're responsible for. The higher your level, the more gigantic the cosmic body and the more the sentient beings you represent, and you will be responsible for that domain. In other words, as you go on cultivating, your human body keeps improving and becomes better and better, and at the same time it transforms into the body of a God. If you don't cultivate well, as you've seen, the changes in the body at the surface are rather small. In other words, the gigantic cosmic body you represent is the same as your body--it corresponds to your body. Then perhaps many beings won't be saved because you didn't cultivate well--it's because you haven't cultivated well that they can't become good. Your not getting rid of a lot of attachments interferes with them, and they, in turn, are also interfering with you.”
Each time I study this passage from Touring North America to Teach the Fa, I enlighten to different things. I sometimes feel very guilty. If I don't study the Fa well, I'll not be able to save sentient beings. Dafa disciple’s mission and responsibility are all very weighty. When I really understand the Fa's principles, it doesn't matter how busy I am, I seize time to study the Fa―emphasizing not just quantity, but more importantly, quality. When I study the Fa, I abandon all thoughts of doing things, I am fully focused, “Shenshen Heyi” (verse from the first exercise, Buddha Stretching a Thousand Arms, meaning “Join the mind and body together,” in The Great Consummation Way of Falun Dafa) letting my true thoughts penetrate countless dimensions and letting lives in corresponding dimensions assimilate to the Fa. We must overcome all difficulties no matter how difficult in order to fulfill our prehistoric oaths. I often feel that when I don't study the Fa well, I'll be busy with things, and disruptions will occur. When I study the Fa well, the environment and different lives all listen to my arrangements.
2. Eliminating the Evil with Righteous Thoughts and Rectifying Myself
I put a relatively strong emphasis on sending forth righteous thoughts. Every time I send forth righteous thoughts, I can see layer after layer of gray substances transforming. When they enter my dantian, Falun clears them layer after layer. The evil disintegrates into primordial qi. Every time I work on projects validating Dafa, especially collaboration work in promoting Shen Yun, the evil uses family sentiments, gaps among practitioners, a busy workload, and attachment to comfort to intensify interference. They just don't want us to save sentient beings. I can feel sticky, glue-like substances on my skin and the top of my head, and even my eyes are foggy. It prevents me from sending my gong out when I send forth righteous thoughts.
I think: “Do I have problems?” I send forth righteous thoughts all day, wherever I go. I see my righteous thoughts clearing dimensions layer after layer, and it feels like frying beans on the top of my head it is so painful. I hear Falun spinning, reminding me, “Looking within is a Fa treasure.” Sometimes I think it's better to cultivate with my celestial eye closed, so I don't have to see anything. Seeing everything is very painful. This situation has lasted for several years. Through memorizing the Fa, transcribing the Fa, reading the Fa, and sending forth righteous thoughts non-stop, I found my problem. I haven't been sending forth righteous thoughts enough. In particular, I seldom sent forth righteous thoughts during the middle of the night in the past. In sharing with fellow practitioners, I found that I have too much attachment to comfort. I also have fear.
I enlightened that not only do I need to send forth righteous thoughts, but only with quality Fa-study, upgrading in the Fa, and enlightening to the Fa while cultivating in practice can I send forth powerful righteous thoughts. With a pure heart, a righteous thought is incomparably powerful. Energy surrounds my body. There is no self, and everything dissolves within the Fa. My body is tall and big. I feel that my body disappears. It becomes empty. I see these lives in my body transforming into golden bodies, returning to different levels of the universe. My body is relaxed. My field radiates with golden rays. Every level of dimension is clear. That wonderfulness is beyond description.
When we send forth righteous thoughts, sometimes we are standing on lotus flowers holding spears, and sometimes we are sitting on lotus flowers holding swords. Sometimes we fly out, like onto an ancient battlefield, wearing armored suits, transforming bad lives into good ones. It is Master's Fashen and big Falun doing it. I only have the will to assist Master in rectifying the Fa and saving sentient beings. My body is only a carrier. In a state of selflessness, it is truly, “...cultivation depends on one’s own efforts while the transformation of gong is done by the master...” (Zhuan Falun)
I now work with the Shen Yun public relations team. My righteous thoughts follows them wherever they go. I clear away the evil that interferes with fellow practitioners in promoting Shen Yun and saving sentient beings. As soon as the thought emerges, gong is there and enters the surrounding dimensions to clear the field. Every time fellow practitioners return, they call us and thank us for our group righteous thoughts. We are a whole body. Although we play different roles, our purpose is to save sentient beings all the same.
Sending forth righteous thoughts, to me, is also a process of abandoning attachment to self and sentiments. I have had some conflicts with some practitioners in the past, or maybe their cultivation states hadn't caught up. They did many things but didn't pay enough attention to sending forth righteous thoughts. In the beginning, I worried that if my field was connected with their field, it might affect my gong potency, etc. These were selfish thoughts. Although I didn't tell him in person, my thoughts are alive in other dimensions. Even this practitioner’s attachments appeared in front of my eyes. At that moment, I would remember what Master said,
"...because once one started to think one will create karma. Therefore, they would cultivate 'body, speech, and mind.' The cultivation of body they spoke of meant that one would not commit bad deeds. Cultivation of speech meant that one would not talk. Cultivation of mind meant that one would not even think." (Zhuan Falun)
In addition, spirit and matter are one. Reading the Fa gave me hints. Using a pure heart to send froth righteous thoughts especially requires me to study the Fa more. In the universe drifts various, countless lives that we need to save, so I often send forth righteous thoughts for prolonged times, sometimes for 30 minutes, other times for 60 minutes or more. I can thus clear out more evil factors and save more countless beings.
3. Saving Sentient Beings and Ascending in the Fa
Master lectured here and told us to make friends. He said that we had given San Francisco to the evil, respectfully cupping one hand in another. When I heard this, my heart was shaken. I wondered if that meant that all our efforts made over the past ten years would end in nothing. We didn't clarify the truth thoroughly, and the evil took advantage of our gaps. I felt very ashamed. We are Master's disciples. We can't face the sentient beings. Our vows from the past haven't been fulfilled. What can we do? Looking within, I found that it was my notions and attachments that blocked me. “Me, me, me. There was too much me. Big, big, big, I was too arrogant.” I needed to abandon all selfishness and harmonize with the whole body. I discussed with the Fa-study group and decided to make friends with Chinese people. We walked one street after another. We were not sure how to do it at first, so we started by striking up conversations as we bought things... In the process, I cultivated away my own rotten things of ecocentrism and arrogance. I asked Master to strengthen me to clear out all the rotten things. When I had this will, under Master's protection, Master gave me many opportunities. Master brought many predestined people to me, people who needed to be saved. As long as I went out, it would always be a rewarding day. I work with fellow practitioners to form a whole body and to understand things from the Fa and upgrade in the Fa.
“If the vast majority of the people in this world today have really come from high levels to obtain the Fa, think about it--they aren't just some simple beings, then. Even a Tathagata represents a gigantic group of beings. But they aren't limited to Tathagatas--those who've come to the human world all have great abilities. Many cosmic bodies' Kings and Lords have come here, and they represent gigantic cosmic bodies. But after coming to the ordinary human society, they became deluded and have even participated in this persecution of Dafa. Then if someone like that is eliminated, think about it, not only is he eliminated--what's eliminated is also a gigantic cosmic body.” (Touring North America to Teach the Fa)
Whenever I read this passage from the Fa, I deeply feel the urgency of saving people. San Francisco was a place for the gold diggers. We all know what gold is. Underneath the human surface, the lives within are precious. Whenever I have an opportunity—grocery shopping, dining, going to parties, or when sentient beings smile at me on the street—I immediately talk with them. Everyone you save counts.
After the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party was published, I explained the facts about Falun Gong and advised people to make the Three Withdrawals (withdrawing from the CCP and/or its affiliated organizations) via the Internet, phone calls, and talking face to face. In the past when I clarified the truth to tourists from charter buses, I could only help two or three people to withdraw from the CCP. Sometime I helped seven to eight people to withdraw in an hour. But now I can help over ten people to withdraw in an hour. Taking the opportunity of delivering The Epoch Times, I advise every Chinese person I encounter to quit the CCP, and I can help five or six people quit if I stand there a little longer. At the same time, I adjust myself, try to understand the sentient beings' hearts so that I can help them solve the issue in their minds, and help them understand the facts about Falun Gong. I sometimes encounter people who curse at me. There was a woman from Sichuan who had been here for only three months. I gave her an Epoch Times paper. She said that (what was written in the paper) was all fabricated, and that we were all cult members and traitors, etc. Then a sentient being next to me said, “This is America, not China. This is a democratic and free country. Be more civilized!” I smiled at the gentlemen and said, “Thank you!” He said, “I read The Epoch Times often. It's a paper that lets people be good people, a paper that speaks the truth. I like it.” I immediately followed, “You see on the upper right-hand corner of our paper, almost 100 million people have quit the CCP. Have you quit?” He said that he had quit already in his heart. I said to him, "You should do it formally as well." I helped him quit using an alias.
As another example, I struck up a conversation with someone from my hometown. She said, “I don't understand why you advise people to quit the CCP. Isn't that getting political?” I said it wasn't and then talked about the Tiananmen Square Massacre. We both had the same feeling about it. I then talked about traditional culture, the Dunhuang mural, etc. "The CCP destroys Chinese culture. You're a professor. You should understand the things that took place during the Cultural Revolution." She said that China was good now and things had turned for the better. I said that the core hadn't changed, and overnight a Party leader could turn into a traitor, a gangster, etc. After talking with her for more than half an hour, she agreed to quit. There was another woman—the wife of a high-level official. She said to me, “We all know that it is the evil Jiang who persecutes Falun Gong. Many high officials disagreed with his decision. I knew many high officials. When I go back, I'll show them the Nine Commentaries DVD and tell them the facts about Dafa and Dafa's real situation abroad.” We became friends. We saw each other every Saturday. When she was about to leave, she told me that she would return. I told her that quitting the CCP could be done on paper currency so as to let the gods know. She said okay.
There are many examples, but I have summarized the following from clarifying the truth face to face: 1) Don't worry about saving your face; use a god's thought, "I just want to save you." The evil will then not dare to touch you. Master will protect you. 2) You must keep up with doing the exercises, studying the Fa, and sending forth righteous thoughts. You will then have the power to effectively clarify the truth. 3) Know more about what's going on inside China and tell them stories. 4) Gain without pursuit. 5) Your heart to save people should come from the microcosm; be clear on the Fa. You should think, “I'm a Dafa disciple—a life created by the Great Law of the universe, solid as a rock and unbroken like diamond.”
In the process of explaining the facts about Falun Gong to Chinese people, I have cultivated away my competitive mentality and vanity, and disintegrated factors of CCP culture that existed in me. I ascended in the Fa.
During this period, when I studied Master's new articles, I enlightened that saving people is urgent, and it is also important to cultivate and upgrade ourselves. I feel that the requirements plaaced on me are even higher. I save numerous beings in different celestial bodies every day. Studying the Fa is saving numerous beings. Sending forth righteous thoughts is saving numerous beings, and clarifying the truth is also saving numerous beings. In everything I do, there is no “me.” Putting down everything, we can fully cooperate. With cooperation as a whole body, I hope we'll soon take back San Francisco from the evil's hands. The big battle between good and evil is in other dimensions. On the human surface, it's letting go of one's notions and self. We should look within during any conflict, eliminate gaps, purge the evil CCP's old haunt in San Francisco, and save more sentient beings. That's also Master's hope for us!
