(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Tian Xinfang from Shan County, Heze City, Shandong Province, was sentenced to four years in prison in 2001 by the Leqing County Court in Zhejiang Province. He was later given another five years of imprisonment on April 11, 2008. His term will end on April 10, 2013.
Mr. Tian was sent to Tai'an Prison on December 11, 2008. He is currently in Ward No. 1 where he is holding a hunger strike to protest the persecution. He is emaciated.
Persecuted in a solitary confinement cell
Mr. Tian was placed in a solitary cell on May 16, 2010. He held a hunger strike to protest.
On July 27, 2010 the guards placed Mr. Tian in Ward No.1, where intensified persecution of practitioners takes place. The prison officials haven't allowed Mr. Tian's family to visit him from May 2010 to December 2011, when this report was submitted, because he has remained steadfast in his belief.
Subjected to brainwashing
Ward political head Gao Lingshan instigated Chen Tao, who was imprisoned due to fraud, to “reform” Mr. Tian at any cost. Chen Tao instructed criminals Yuan Kexin and Sun Qiming to severely beat Mr. Tian four times between late October 2010 and early November, 2010. Mr. Tian held hunger strikes four times to protest the physical abuse and mistreatment.
Hunger strike to protest persecution in Ward No. 1
Newly promoted Ward No. 1 head Zhu Xuhu and political head Lu Wenfeng, who is in charge of persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, continued the physical abuse and torture of practitioners including Mr. Tian Xinfang, Mr. Liu Yongjin, and Mr. Liu Nailong since the day they took office.
Mr. Tian held another hunger strike in late August 2011 to protest the persecution. He is currently emaciated.
