(Clearwisdom.net) I have been cultivating in Dafa for 14 years now, and I would like to report to Master and fellow practitioners some of my cultivation experiences during the process.
Finding the Way to Return Home
I was born and grew up in the countryside and had always believed in Buddhist concepts since childhood. When I was seven years old, I suffered from a very strange illness. Every day, as it approached dawn, I started to have pain in my abdomen and had diarrhea. I became skinny, and for the next 20 years I was accompanied by all kinds of illnesses, and I got angry easily. I struggled in misery for 20 years until I started to practice Falun Gong and was given a new life.
In late April 1997, a student of mine told me about the practice. When I heard the words “Falun Gong”, my heart was inspired, and I felt a strong urge to know more about it. I got a copy of Zhuan Falun. That evening, I went to a group Fa-study with a veteran practitioner. When we got there, people were reciting the article “Genuine Cultivation”. I was deeply moved by the sound of it, with tears running down my face. I felt as if I was in a paradise and my whole body was warm with energy. From then on, I started to practice Falun Dafa, and all my illnesses disappeared.
Safeguarding the Fa
On July 22, 1999, after Jiang Zemin's clique had launched the persecution of Falun Gong, the Falun Dafa practitioners in our county went to the county government to appeal. Various work units were ordered to come and pickup their employees; four people from my work unit also came, and they put me in a car. In October 1999 I went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong again. I was put into a detention center. A police officer interrogated me, so I clarified the truth to him. He was rather polite to me.
At the detention center in Beijing, I and other practitioners clarified the truth about Falun Gong to the inmates there. The night before I left there, the head of the cell stayed up all night, listening to me clarifying the truth. She enjoyed it very much. Seven days later, the county police brought me and a few other practitioners back. When I left, they all came to see me off.
We were transferred to a city detention center, where most of the inmates were prostitutes. Two of them were assigned to monitor me. I talked with them and gradually they became more relaxed with me. I told them the facts about Falun Gong. Fourteen days later, when I was about to leave, they did not want me to go.
In July of that year, I and two other practitioners went to appeal again, but we were stopped on the way and were taken back to the detention center. We started a hunger strike, and 15 days later I was released and went back home.
Clarifying the Truth
At the beginning of 2001, the 610 Office in our county ran a brainwashing session. I was illegally arrested and taken to the session, where the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) secretary of the local political and judiciary committee talked to me until midnight, trying to persuade me to give up practicing Falun Gong. So I clarified the truth to him.
When the evil saw that they could not “transform” me, they tried to send me to a forced labor camp. My heart was not moved at all. All of a sudden I started to show symptoms of illnesses, so CCP officials urged the leaders at my work unit to take me away immediately. After I got home, my work unit sent two people to my house every day to watch over me. I thought it was a good opportunity to clarify the truth to them. They shared my views on the social problems around us.
When I came back from the brainwashing class, the bureau I worked under forbid me to go to work. So I went to talk to the head of the local police station, who was rather polite to me. I clarified the truth about Falun Gong to him, and he listened quietly. In the end, he asked me, “What should I do then?” I said, “Protect Falun Dafa practitioners within your capacity.” After the talk, he saw me downstairs and insisted on paying for a taxi to take me home.
I took the initiative to contact a police officer who was in charge of the monitoring of Falun Gong practitioners, to clarify the truth to him. To inspire his kind thoughts so that he would treat Dafa practitioners with kindness, I told him to see through the evil nature of the CCP. As a result, over the years he has seldom gone to villages to bother practitioners. A few years ago, when a local practitioner was arrested and implicated me, this police officer notified my husband in advance.
At the beginning of 2010, I realized the importance of using the law to oppose the persecution, so I started to incorporate some legal content into my clarifying the truth. At the beginning of this year, a fellow practitioner in our county was arrested. Two lawyers defended him. I showed people the lawyers’ defense speech. I also went to the countryside and showed people the defense speech, including to the CCP secretary of a village. That day, I persuaded 27 people to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. I also took the defense speech to the leaders of the school where I used to teach and asked them to allow me to work. After they listened to me clarify the truth about Falun Gong and the persecution, they agreed to my request to teach again.
I realized that we are cultivating Dafa in the Fa-rectification period and we should rectify all that is not righteous. Since the evil has sentenced Dafa practitioners to imprisonment and sent them to forced labor camps; then we should use the law to oppose the persecution. Right now, practitioners in Mainland China have already started to demand compensation from the evildoers and to sue them.
Safeguarding Our Legal Rights
After I went to appeal for Falun Gong the second time (in July 2000), my work unit suspended my salary. At the end of 2000, when I was taken to the brainwashing session, the 610 Office took 5,000 yuan from my salary to give to the brainwashing session. I did not know about it at the time. After I got back home, I went to my work unit straight away to ask for the money back. I clarified the truth to them and pointed out that what they did was illegal.
The year before last, I went to consult a lawyer. I clarified the facts to the lawyer, and he advised me to ask for the salary back first. He said if they refused to give it back to me, he would take legal action on my behalf. I went to talk to my superior and he personally contacted the 610 Office in our county. I also clarified the facts to the head of the 610 Office. At the beginning of last year, the 610 Office returned my salary that they had withheld; it totaled over 10,000 yuan, including any interest that accrued over the years.
After I returned home from the brainwashing session at the beginning of 2001, my work unit refused to allow me to work anymore. Every year, I went to talk to the leader of my work unit, asking him to resume my work. At the beginning of this year, I went to talk to him again from the legal perspective, telling him that if he refused to allow me to resume work he would have to bear the responsibility in the future. After this, his attitude changed and he agreed for me to return to work.
When One Person Practices Falun Gong, the Whole Family Benefits
When my son was about to take the entrance exam for senior high school, he was a bit worried that he would not be able to do well. I said to him, “Don’t forget to recite ‘Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.’” My son went to take the exam. I felt very calm in my heart. When he came back, he shouted: “Mom, I scored over 90.” My son was admitted to the key school in the county.
My mother-in-law was bedridden for 15 years. I looked after her with care. From all that I did for her, all my relatives and friends could see that Falun Dafa was good. Later, I felt that the situation limited me from going out to clarify the truth to people, but I believed that Master would make arrangements for me. Indeed, just then my sister-in-law retired, and she took my mother-in-law to her place and looked after her for over two years until she passed away.
Last winter, my husband suffered from H1N1, and he ran a high fever that would not go down. I kept studying the Fa while looking after my husband, and I also sent forth righteous thoughts to disintegrate the evil. At the same time, I looked within and found that I had been complaining about fellow practitioners lately. By the seventh night, my husband sweated a lot and he recovered the next day.
Pay Attention to the One Body Cultivation Environment, and Improve Together
We lost our group cultivation environment after the persecution started. So, I worked with others to help fellow practitioners form Fa-study groups. Gradually, each village in our township established a Fa-study group. I also tracked down fellow practitioners from the old days, and together we formed one body and broke through difficult tests.
One fellow practitioner suddenly passed away. Her husband complained about Dafa, which caused some very negative effects. I and three other practitioners went to their village to clarify the truth about Dafa. Her husband was very polite, and thus a storm calmed down.
Another fellow practitioner suffered from serious illness karma. So we organized a Fa-study group at her house. She searched within and found the excuse the evil was using to persecute her. Soon she recovered from the illness karma. Now she puts all her efforts into saving sentient beings, and all her family members support her practicing Falun Gong.
Another practitioner did not know how to look within, so we studied the Fa with him and shared our understandings. Gradually he was able to see through illusions and saw his attachments. Now, all Dafa practitioners in our township are very diligent, and everyone is making the best use of time to save sentient beings.
Before the 2008 Olympics, some practitioners suggested that we should send righteous thoughts to disintegrate the evil that was using the Olympics to persecute practitioners. I shared the same view and told practitioners to send righteous thoughts. However, some practitioners thought the Olympics was an everyday people’s affair and that we should not get involved. My heart was not moved, and I kept sending righteous thoughts with practitioners. On October 1, 2009, the evil CCP was celebrating its 60-year reign. I realized that we should send righteous thoughts in groups, so I went from one village to another to talk to coordinators. The next day, all practitioners in our township sent righteous thoughts from 6:00 a.m. To 10:00 p.m. on the hour to eliminate the evil.
After the exposure of the CCP's harvesting organs from detained practitioners, our group realized that we needed to send righteous thoughts towards prisons and labor camps. I told the county coordinator about this, and he immediately organized relevant practitioners to discus it. Everybody agreed that we should send righteous thoughts to disintegrate all the evil that were persecuting practitioners.
During the last couple of years, around July 20, we would organize all practitioners in our township to send righteous thoughts as one body to correspond with the rally and parade activities during the annual Washington D.C. Fahui weekends.
Looking back at the journey of my cultivation over the years, every step I have taken was supported by Master and the kind help of fellow practitioners. Now, I do my best to study the Fa more so that I can view everything around me from the perspective of the Fa; at the same time, I pay attention to sending righteous thoughts to eliminate all the material elements in my dimension that are not in accordance with the Fa.
