(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Zhang Cuifen, 60, lives in Acheng District of Harbin City. In 1995, she started practicing Falun Gong with her husband, Liu Xianzeng, and her son, Liu Baozhong. The whole family has benefited physically and mentally from practicing Falun Dafa. Since Jiang Zemin started the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999, they have often been harassed and threatened by the Public Security Bureau of Acheng District, the 610 Office, and their neighborhood association. Their home has been ransacked several times.
In early 2001, five or six officers from Hedong Police Station, along with Ms. Zhang's coworkers from the Hedong Brick Factory broke into her home, arrested her, and took her to Yagou Brainwashing Center. She was later transferred to the Acheng District First Detention Center and then the Second Detention Center. She was subsequently sentenced to one year in Wanjia Forced Labor Camp in Harbin City.
On July 8, 2002, policemen from the Public Security Bureau of Harbin City and the Public Security Bureau of Acheng District broke into Zhang Cuifen's home again, arrested her, and sent her to Acheng District Second Detention Center. She was later transferred to the First Detention Center, and subsequently sentenced to three years in Wanjia Forced Labor Camp.
Zhang Curfen's husband, Liu Xianzeng, is 61 years old. On July 8, 2002, several policemen from the Public Security Bureaus of Harbin City and Acheng District broke into his home to arrest him. In order to avoid arrest, their son Liu Baozhong tried to slide down a drainage pipe to the ground from the seventh floor. Unfortunately, he fell from the third floor and fractured his heel, three ribs, and spine.
During this arrest, the family's home was also ransacked. Falun Dafa books and a private vehicle were confiscated. Liu Xianzeng was held in Acheng District First Detention Center and then the Second Detention Center. He was later sentenced to one year in Changlingzi Forced Labor Camp in Harbin City. Liu Baozhong was sent to Acheng District Hospital. He was not given medical treatment and his hands were cuffed for six weeks. He was released after police officers saw that his foot was disabled.
