Crimes Committed by the Hunan Province 610 Office (Photos)

Feb. 19, 2011 |   By a Clearwisdom correspondent from Hunan Province, China

(Clearwisdom.net) In Hunan Province, the CCP’s 610 Office has executed an extensive and brutal persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners.

Since July 20, 1999, when Jiang's regime launched its unlawful persecution of Falun Gong in China, many practitioners in Hunan Province suffered terribly because they would not give up their belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Many practitioners were persecuted to death, disabled and/or left mentally unstable. Countless numbers of practitioners disappeared, became destitute and homeless, were sent to forced labor camps, were illegally sentenced, were faced with extortion, and/or were fired from their jobs.

In 2000, the Hunan Province 610 Office sentenced many Falun Gong practitioners to prison and to forced labor camps. The 610 Office held many brainwashing sessions throughout the province, detaining practitioners to systematically brainwash them.

In November 2002, the Hunan Province 610 Office spent a large sum of money to buy land in Laodaohe Town, the Kaifu District, and Changsha City. This land was originally meant to build a nursing home. Instead, the 610 Office built the provincial brainwashing center there and gave it the cover name "The Changsha City Law Education Center." Over the past eight years, officers in the brainwashing center severely have violated practitioners' personal and constitutional rights to freedom of belief. Several hundred practitioners from Hunan Province have been illegally imprisoned in the brainwashing center.

From July to mid August 2010, the Hunan Province 610 Office gathered ten of the most brutal officials from the local 610 Offices around Hunan Province and hosted a "continuous" brainwashing session. As soon as some practitioners were released from the brainwashing session, the police would arrest more practitioners to take their places at Laodaohe Brainwashing Center in Changsha City. According to incomplete statistics, during the over-40-day period, more than 20 practitioners from Changsha, Ningxiang, Liuyang, Yueyang, and Chenzhou were detained in the brainwashing center.

In early September, the Hunan Province 610 Office, together with the Huaihua City 610 Office, held a continuous brainwashing session in Yingkou Town in the Hutianqiao District, Huaihua City. Nearly 20 practitioners from the Huaihua area and Xiangxi autonomous area were forcibly detained in the center and subjected to many courses of brutal brainwashing. Meanwhile, under the direct control of the Hunan Province 610 Office, the Chenzhou and Yiyang brainwashing centers also held a continuous brainwashing session from October to December to try to “transform” Falun Gong practitioners.

On November 9, 2010, the police in Li County, Hunan Province, launched a large-scale campaign to arrest practitioners. In just one day, the local 610 Office, with the help of the national security team police, arrested 12 practitioners. Within 11 days, Ms. Peng Donglian, a 58-year-old practitioner and a retired worker of the Li County Agricultural Machine Company, was persecuted to death in the Li County Detention Center. After this was made known outside of China, the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong made public the agency and persons involved in the crime.

Listed below are the persons responsible for committing these crimes against Falun Gong practitioners in the Hunan Province 610 Offices. Their crimes include persecuting practitioners to the point of causing serious injury by using over 100 methods of torture, rendering practitioners mentally disabled, and in some cases, being directly responsible for their deaths.
