Shanxi Province's Xingping City Domestic Security Division Officers Persecute Ms. Li Ying'e and Huang Bo

Feb. 7, 2011 |   By a Clearwisdom correspondent in Shaanxi Province, China

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Li Ying'e, Ms. Jing Xuehong, Ms. Huang Bo, and Ms. Liu Qiaomei from Xianyang City, Shanxi Province, were riding in Ms. Jing's car the afternoon of January 6, 2011. They stopped by the roadside when passing through Xiwu Town. Around 6:00 p.m., a young man suddenly forced open the car door, grabbed Ms. Jing, and started beating her, claiming that her car had run over his feet. People who had market stalls nearby all said that the man was a drunk and a local rogue.

When Xiwu Town Police Station officers arrived, they completely ignored the man who had caused the incident and took the women and their car to the police station. The police interrogated the practitioners separately. The police found stickers with Falun Gong messages in their car, three copies of Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and unposted letters. They then transferred the practitioners to the Xingping City Domestic Security Division for additional interrogation. The Domestic Security Division officers drove in four police vehicles to the practitioners' homes around 3-4 a.m. on January 7, ransacked their homes, and confiscated Ms. Huang's son's computer and other personal property.

Ms. Li Ying'e was able to escape the Xingping City Domestic Security Division on January 7. According to an officer in the division, division officials put Ms. Li on a “wanted” list. Ms. Now Li is living away from home to avoid persecution. According to another insider in the police department, Xingping City Domestic Security Division seized Ms. Li's purse, in which there were two bankbooks with 80,000 yuan on them, a key to her home, a credit card, and more than 700 yuan in cash. In order to take Ms. Li's money, the police put her on the wanted list, and threatened her family in order to pressure them to bribe the police with money and gifts. Ms. Li's husband is a liver transplant patient, and needs her constant care all year round. Ms. Li's mother-in-law is in her 80s and has been suffering from all kinds of illnesses. She is waiting for Ms. Li to return home to celebrate Chinese New Year. Ms. Li also has a one-year-old grandson to take care of.

Forty-year-old Ms. Huang Bo was subjected to one year of forced labor by the Xingping City Domestic Security Division's 610 Office, and is currently in the Liquan County Detention Center. Ms. Huang often quarreled with her husband before practicing Falun Gong. Her relationship with her parents-in-law was also tense. She was tired both physically and mentally. After practicing Falun Gong, she conducted herself according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, let go of her selfishness, and became broad-minded and considerate of others. She often prepares delicious food for her parents-in-law and takes good care of them. Her mother-in-law often praises her for being filial.

Ms. Jing Xuehong was placed under a ten-day administrative detention on a charge that she provided a car for the three other practitioners.
