(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Wang Zhenghe was a teacher at the Huaikou High School in Jintang County, Sichuan Province. In June 2008, he and his wife Ms. Zhong Zhifang were reported to police while distributing Falun Gong materials in Hongyuan Township, which is located between Jintang County and Jianyang County. The couple were arrested. Later the Jianyang Court sentenced Mr. Wang to three and a half years in prison and Ms. Zhong to three years in a forced labor camp. Mr. Wang was sent to the Wangmaping Prison in Leshan while Ms. Zhong was sent to the Yangmahe Forced Labor Camp in Jianyang.
Mr. Wang Zhenghe’s elderly father had lived with them. After the couple were arrested, the elderly man became immobilized from extreme fear and worry. He could not walk or hold things steadily with his hands. He needed to be fed and could not speak clearly. After the couple's arrest, the elderly man was heartbroken, and he lived in the hope that at any minute his son and daughter-in-law would come back. But he did not get to see them again, passing away on January 1, 2011.
Before Mr. Wang’s father passed away, his family called the Wangmaping Prison many times, asking that Mr. Wang be able to go home to see his father before he died. However, the prison always said they did not know or the person in charge was not working on that day.
Since then, Ms. Zhong’s mother has also passed away.
