1. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Torture Suffered by Mr. Wang Jijun in Jidong Prison
Mr. Wang Jijun, in his 40s, was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Divisions of the Tangshan City Police Department on September 7, 2009. He was tried on November 23, 2009, in the Yuhe District Court in Cangzhou City. His family hired a lawyer, who entered a plea of not guilty on his behalf.
Under the direction of the 610 Office, the court sentenced Mr. Wang to four years in prison for possessing three CDs and five files on his computer. Mr. Wang appealed to the Cangzhou City Intermediate Court. On February 11, 2010, the Intermediate Court announced that the original sentence would stand.
On March 3, 2010, without his family being notified, Mr. Wang was quietly transferred from the Cangzhou City Detention Center in Hebei Province to the Second Sub-team of Jidong Prison in Tangshan City. He was taken to Strict Control Ward on December 7, 2010, where he was forced to stand all day wearing body restraining instruments. Six prisoners took turns closely watching him, allowing him no more than 3-5 hours rest per night. They forced him to stand from 3-4 a.m. until 11 p.m. or midnight. If he fell asleep, prisoners would shove him or use ice cubes to awaken him from sleep.
Over 23 days of torture, Mr. Wang suffered sleep deprivation for 11 consecutive days. When he returned from the Strict Control Ward, he could not stand or sit up.
2. [Renqiu City, Hebei Province] Ms. Cao Sufang and Other Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Cao Sufang lives in Huabei Petroleum Field Vocational School family housing. At around 9 a.m. on March 3, 2011, Officer Han Yan and others from the Bohai Police Department arrested Ms. Cao Yan and Mr. Zhang Yiming, and sent them to the Langfang City Brainwashing Center. Police also arrested Ms. Wang Shuzheng and Ms. Wang Fenghua, who were visiting Ms. Cao. One of the practitioners has been released due to her physical condition. Two strangers were assigned to watch Ms. Wang Shuzheng at home closely. Ms. Wang Fenghua is detained in Shuidian Detention Center.

Officers arrested Ms. Ai Guifeng at around 7 p.m. on March 1, 2011, and was taken into custody at the local Police Department. No one knows her whereabouts now.

Three officers from the Tiexi District Xinhua Police Station arrested Ms. Zhou Yaqin on the evening of February 26, 2011, ransacked her home and took several DVDs. She was released the same night, but officers from the Xinhua Police Station continue to harass her.

Two officers from the Liyun Police Station harassed Ms. Bai Hong at around 6 a.m. on February 26, 2011. Meanwhile, officers also harassed Ms. Wan Xiumei at her home.
