(Clearwisdom.net) We are cultivating toward godhood and all
have our own sentient beings. We still haven't reached that level
of godhood, according to our present day xinxing
level.
I have a non-practitioner friend who is also my boss. One day when
he spoke to me he was very unfriendly. Although I did not argue
with him at the time, I said to my wife on returning home, “He is
doing well now and has become an official. That's why he was
looking down on me. I don't believe he will always be that lucky.”
It was a very casual comment; however, my boss and his family
members suffered from a very serious illness later on, and spent a
lot of money on medical expenses. I learned from the incident that
every thought from practitioners contains energy. If our
xinxing fails to reach the standard, we might cause
unforeseen consequences to our future sentient beings. (Later, I
persuaded my boss to quit the Chinese Communist Party and its
subordinate organizations.)
After so many years of cultivation there have still been times when I failed to be tolerant, therefore failing the test. This is the manifestation of lacking benevolence and compassion, not getting along with other people, whether they are practitioners or not, and failing to position myself correctly. Teacher taught us,
“You should always maintain a heart of benevolence and a mind of kindness. If you suddenly bump into a problem, you will be able to take care of it properly. When you always maintain a heart of benevolence and compassion, you will have time or room to buffer the confrontation and think, should a problem arise suddenly. If you always think about competing with others and fighting back and forth, I would say that you will start a fight with others whenever there is a problem—this is guaranteed.” (Zhuan Falun)
It is true that we will treat non-practitioners more tolerantly without the competitive mentality. I enlightened that whatever we think now should all be good and positive. We should use our righteous thoughts to deal with anything and everything that occurs. In this way everything around us will develop toward a good direction. (“The appearance stems from the mind.”)
It is the same in dealing with fellow practitioners. Even if we have really found the shortcomings of a fellow practitioner, we should not think that practitioner is wrong. Teacher said that the future universe is perfectly all-encompassing. My personal understanding is that we must start, beginning now, coordinating with and complementing each other. Therefore, when we really see the shortcomings of a fellow practitioner we should not discuss it behind his/her back, but help to strengthen their righteous thoughts and rectify their incorrect parts, by sharing our thoughts compassionately with them. This is because being allowed to see fellow practitioners' shortcomings means that we might also have similar problems ourselves.
Teacher asked us to coordinate with each other. Isn't this the need of the future universe?
This is just my personal understanding at my current level. Please feel free to comment and correct.
