(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Wu Shuzhen and Mr. Zhang Mao, mother and son, were arrested by police officers from Shijiazhuang City on the evening of December 18, 2010. When their family members made inquiries to the local authorities as to their whereabouts, they found out that they had been sent to forced labor camps. Ms. Wu was taken to Hebei Province Women's Forced Labor Camp, and Mr. Zhang was taken to the forced labor camp on Taihua Street in Shijiazhuang.

When the police stopped and searched Mr. Zhang's car at around 8:00 p.m. on December 18, 2010, they found him in possession of Falun Gong materials. He was arrested and detained. His home was then ransacked at around 2:00 a.m. the next morning, and a large amount of personal belongings were confiscated, including 15,000 yuan in cash, two laptops, a printer, and Dafa books. The police also arrested Zhang’s mother Ms. Wu Shuzheng and his girlfriend, Ms. Wang. His father, Mr. Zhang Bomin, was not at home at the time.
Mr. Zhang, Ms. Wu, and Ms. Wang were taken to the Songying Police Station that evening. When Ms. Wang’s aunt heard the news, she went to the police station to visit her and was also detained.
Officers from Songying Police Station broke into Mr. Zhang’s home again on December 20 and confiscated his TV satellite dish. Several of Mr. Zhang's relatives went to the police station on December 21 to request his release, but were threatened by the officers.
