(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties in 8 provinces. In this report, 11 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 15 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Meizhou, Guangdong Province] Ms. Li Songfang in Critical Condition
Ms. Li Songfang was illegally arrested in February 2008 for painting truth clarification slogans. She was sentenced to four years in prison and was held at Conghua Women's Prison in Guangdong Province, where she was severely mistreated.
In early March 2011, the prison ordered Ms. Li's family to take her home. She was diagnosed with advanced stage uterine cancer, kidney failure, and abdominal bleeding. Ms. Li was taken to Meizhou People's Hospital for emergency treatment. She was reported to be in critical condition.
2.[Daqing, Heilongjiang Province] Details about Mr. Cao Jingdong and Others
National Security agents arrested Mr. Cao Jingdong on the morning of March 2, 2011. Mr. Cao was sent to a labor camp for one and a half years of hard labor.
Ms. Zhang Guifang, from Guangsha in Daqing, was previously imprisoned. She was conditionally released on April 6, 2011 when her health began to fail. Another practitioner, Ms. Yang Zhanli, was sentenced to one year of hard labor on March 28 and taken to Harbin City.
3. [Anshan, Liaoning Province] Mr. Tian Zhongge Arrested
Police from the Lishan Branch of Anshan Police Department arrested Mr. Tian Zhongge on the morning of April 9, 2011, when he was talking with people about Falun Gong.
4. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Ms. Yu Feng Missing
Ms. Yu Feng was arrested at around 1:00 p.m. on April 1, 2011. Her whereabouts are unknown.
5. [Dingxing County, Hebei Province] Mr. Xu Qinghai Arrested
Officer Zhu Xiaotao from the Dingxing County Domestic Security Division, head of the Gucheng Town Police Station Lin Zhiqiang, and the Sanjie Village Police Station arrested Mr. Xu Qinghai on January 10, 2011. Mr. Xu was sent to Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp.
6. [Jinzhou, Hebei Province] Ms. Kang Yan Arrested
Gao Jian, head of the Dongzhuosuxiang Police Station in Jinzhou, led several people to arrest Ms. Kang Yan from Dawang Village at around 9:00 a.m. on March 22, 2011. They detained her at Jizhou City Detention Center. On March 30, Ms. Kang was taken to Shijiazhuang Women's Forced Labor Camp.

7. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Ms. Yu Arrested While Shopping on April 1, 2011, Her Whereabouts Are Unknown
8. [Jianchang County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhu Guihua and Ms. Fu Yuxia Held at Huludao Detention House
Ms. Zhu Guihua, Ms. Fu Yuxia, and Mr. Wang Gongzhang were talking with people about Falun Gong when they were arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division on April 8, 2011. Mr. Wang has been released, but Ms. Zhu and Ms. Fu are still being held at Huludao Detention House.

9. [Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Yanwen Was Detained in Taigu County Detention Center for Two Months
10. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Officers of the Wanli Police Station Arrested Mr. Wang Fengjun
On the evening of April 8, 2011, Mr. Wang Fengjun was arrested at Dalian Port when he was going to board a ship to visit his family in Shandong. The officers at the Dalian Port detained and searched him. They found truth clarification materials on him and immediately reported their findings to Wanli Police Station at Dalian Development District. Officers from the police station picked him up and took him to Wanli Police Station.

11. [Rizhao, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Xiufeng Held in a Detention Center
Ms. Wang Xiufeng, in her 40s, was arrested on the morning of April 4, 2011 when she was distributing informational materials about Falun Dafa in Nanhu Town. Officers from Nanhu Town Police Station took her to Rizhao Detention Center.
12. [Langfang, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhang Zhenzhi Arrested
At around 6:00 a.m. on April 7, 2011, Mr. Zhang Zhenzhi was arrested in his home in Dongzhangwu Village, Luoge Town, in the Anci area. Mr. Zhang is being held in the Langfang Brainwashing Center.
Another practitioner, Mr. Wang Qingsheng, was sentenced to nine years in prison. While serving the sentence, he was transferred four times and was incarcerated at different prisons. On July 3, 2007, he was transferred to Jinshi Prison.

13. [Qingdao, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Jixiang Detained at Dashan Detention Center
On April 5, 2011, Ms. Sun Jixiang and her husband Mr. Tian Jiacun were arrested for talking with people about Falun Gong at Shilaoren Beach at Laoshan of Qingdao. Officers from the Wangjiacun Police Station of the Laoshan area were to take them to Dashan Detention Center. Mr. Tian, however, failed the physical examination and was released. Ms. Sun is now being held in the First Detention Center of Dashan Prison.

15. [Qianan, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Yanqin and Ms. Li Xiuhua Arrested
Ms. Li Yanqin and Ms. Li Xiuhua were arrested at around 8:00 p.m. on April 6, 2011 when they were seen talking with people about Falun Gong. They are now being held in the Qianan City Detention House.
16. [Linqing, Shandong Province] Ms. Guo Qiuxiang from Yangbalizhuang in Xianfeng Town Arrested at Home on April 6, 2011
17. [Jiayu County, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Jinxiu Arrested
Ms. Chen Jinxiu was arrested at around 3:00 p.m. on April 8, 2011 at Guishanqiao, Jiayu County when she was distributing Shen Yun DVDs. The officers from Jiayu County Domestic Security Division and Xinjie Town Police Station arrested her. Ms. Chen is now in the Jiayu County First Detention Center.

18. [Chongqing] Ms. Zheng Qianfang from Jiangjin Sentenced
Jiangjin Court secretly sentenced Ms. Zheng Qianfang to a three-year prison term. Ms. Chen was taken to Zouma Women's Prison on March 16, 2011.
19. [Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Li Yiping Persecuted to Death
Ms. Li Yiping was arrested in 2004 at Hangzou Business College and was sentenced to four years in prison. She was incarcerated in Zhejiang Women's Prison and was released on May 15, 2008. She was in very poor health for a long time after she returned home. Eventually, Ms. Li was fired by the college and her salary was withheld.
On November 17, 2010, six police officers from Hangzhou 610 Office broke into Ms. Li's home, and confiscated her Dafa books and computers. Ms. Li passed away on January 9, 2011.
