(Clearwisdom.net) Note: Mr. Yi Song is a Changzhou University graduate student. He started to study polymer theory in 2009. He was recently apprehended by personnel from the Changzhou 610 Office and has been confined in the Jinhai Hotel in Changzhou for forced brainwashing for almost 20 days. His family traveled to the hotel from a faraway city to visit him; however the officers did not allow them to visit Mr. Yi. The person and department in charge are Changzhou 610 Office Chief Ji Liming and the Changzhou University Security Section. Mr. Yi Song’s mother, Yan Aimei’s, call for help is below.
Mr. Yi Song
“I am Yi Song’s mother. My son is a Changzhou University graduate student. Because he firmly practices Falun Gong, Ji Liming and other officers from the Changzhou 610 Office arrested him on March 22, 2011 in order to isolate and brainwash him.
“My relatives and I went to Changzhou a few days ago although we are poor and live in a faraway city. We had hoped to see my son. However, Changzhou 610 Office director Ji Liming did not listen to my appeal at all but kept publicly cursing me. Just because I am a Falun Gong practitioner, he regarded me as a person who would “harm the safety of teachers and students in Changzhou University” and took video of us. They demanded that we present our identification cards to him and then followed us, which severely infringed upon our human rights.
“I live in Yijiahe, Dongjiahe Village, Baiguo Town, Macheng, Hubei Province. I make a living by making and patching up clothes. My husband Yi Zuoyuan was laid off by the Baiguo Cloth Factory and he has to work in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province.
“Since 1990, my eyes were sensitive to light and painful. I could not open my eyes normally and had no way to work. I sought treatment in different ways, but nothing worked. Since I took medicine and injections for a long time, the side effects of those medicines caused gastric distention and stomach ache. I could only take liquid food for three years and it was hard for me to fall asleep at night. I spent all of our savings treating my illness, and our family became very poor.
“On one occasion in September 1997, we heard Falun Gong could help in keeping fit. We immediately took a bus to Baiguo to seek people who practiced Falun Gong. We did not find anyone and were about to go home. Yi Song did not want to leave saying, “Let’s try one more time”. We finally met a Falun Gong practitioner and got a copy of Zhuan Falun. I eagerly read the book while I ate. I finished a bowl of rice unknowingly. At that time, I had not eaten rice for three years. My sons and I were surprised and happy. We started to practice Falun Gong together. My illnesses disappeared in three days. My almost blind eyes went back to normal. Yi Song’s headache and stomach ache also disappeared. My youngest son Yongsong could eat very well and became strong. The brothers did not fight about trifles any more.
“Our family follows the principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Falun Dafa brought happiness and health to our family. I do not fight for personal gain any more. During the past decade, we have been healthy and saved a lot of medical expense. I did not apply for state loans for my two sons’ college tuition and did not get a penny of allowance.
“Ji Liming asked me to write a statement to give up Falun Gong before being allowed to visit my son. If I did not practice Falun Gong, I would have seen my son a long time ago. It was Falun Dafa that rescued me and gave me a new life. We all appreciate it, so how could we smear Dafa?
“Yi Song is very kind and nice. Since he became a practitioner at the age of 11, he has been considerate of others, is nice to his grandma and cares for his younger brother. He is active in helping others. A neighborhood teenage boy could not move because his foot was broken and affixed to boards. Yi Song took care of him. Yi Song is diligent and often ranked high in study.
“A few days ago, I could not visit my son, but only look at his recent picture. In the picture, Yi Song’s eyes are glazed over, his back is bent weakly and his face looks like he is in pain. My originally kind and handsome son was tortured to such a condition in just 20 short days. My heart felt so painful. I worry about his safety. It has been reported that many brainwashing centers inject drugs into Falun Gong practitioners, which causes them mental disability.
“My son Yi Song did nothing wrong. He has his freedom of belief. He talks to people about Falun Gong, which conforms to freedom of speech and should be protected by the Constitution. In Chinese law, no item says it violates the law to practice Falun Gong. Instead, it violates the law to detain my son Yi Song and brainwash, threaten and insult him, and to not allow his family to see him.
“I hope Yi Song will be released soon.”
