(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 20 cities or counties in 13 provinces. As per this report, 23 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 26 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Yitong County, Jilin Province] Update Regarding the Persecution of Disabled Practitioner Ms. Du Liming
Ms. Du Liming, a disabled Yitong County practitioner, was sentenced to three years of imprisonment for distributing Shen Yun DVDs on July 11, 2010. She is currently in the Jilin Province Women’s Prison (also known as Heizuizi Prison).
Ms. Du’s family recently visited her. She was skinny, and her face was pale. An inmate was assigned to watch her all the time, even during the visit. In addition, the guard terminated their visit early and took Ms. Du away.

Ms. Cui Ling is a practitioner at Kaiyuan City Chemical Engineering Technical School.

3. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Tong Ling Sent to the Longgang Detention Center
Bantian Police Station officials arrested Shenzhen City practitioner Ms. Tong Ling at home on April 22 and confiscated her computer. Ms. Tong is currently in the Longgang Detention Center.

4. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhao Xue Covertly Sentenced to Five Years of Imprisonment
Ms. Zhao Xue was covertly sentenced to five years and is currently in the Shenyang Women's Prison. She was hospitalized due to poor physical condition.
5. [Boai County, Henan Province] Ms. Cheng Huan Sent to Labor Camp
Police agents arrested 57-year-old Ms. Cheng Huan on August 1, 2008, as she distributed truth-clarification materials. They took her to the Boai County 610 Office, interrogated her, and released her that evening. The next day, they took her to the Wenquan County Detention Center and held her there for 20 days. They sent Ms. Cheng to Zhengzhou City Women's Forced Labor Camp on August 23, 2008, for a term of two years.
6. [Yuzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Liu Hong Arrested
Ms. Liu Hong went missing on April 16 when she went to work. Three days later her family learned that she had been arrested by Liulin Town police in Zhengzhou City. Officials have placed Ms. Liu in the Jinshui District First Detention Center in Zhengzhou City.
7. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gao Chongyan and Five Other Practitioners Arrested
When Ms. Gao Chongyan and five other practitioners were clarifying the truth on the morning on April 20, someone reported them to the police. Gaotaizi Police Station officials arrested them, although one practitioner escaped. Their current whereabouts are unknown.

8. [Shandong Province] Gudong Oil Extraction Plant Employee Mr. Zhao Jianhua Arrested
Mr. Zhao Jianhua is an employee of the Gudong Oil Extraction Plant, a subsidiary of the Shengli Oil Field. Guangrao County police arrested him on April 16. They also ransacked his home, taking away his car and a computer.
9. [Suizhong County, Liaoning Province] Four Women Practitioners Arrested
When four women practitioners in Suizhong County with surnames Tian, Li, Shang, and Jiang were clarifying truth in Dazhai Town in Xingcheng City, someone reported them. Dazhai Town police arrested them and took them to the local police station.
10. [Linqu County, Shandong Province] Ms. Chen Guizhi Held at the County Detention Center
Wujing Town police arrested Yeyuan Town practitioner Ms. Chen Guizhi at home on the evening on April 18. Officials are holding her her in the Linqu County Detention Center.
11. [Huaian City, Jiangsu Province] Update Regarding the Persecution of Ms. Zhu Yunxia
Agents from the Chongchuan District Police Department in Nantong City arrested 49-year-old Ms. Zhu Yunxia on March 18, 2010, and transferred her to Beige Restaurant the next day for further persecution.
Police agent Zhu Jianlin handcuffed Ms. Zhu on March 20, 2010, and jerked the cuffs up and down. Ms. Zhu's skin was broken, and her wrists were bleeding. Zhu Jianlin then grabbed Ms. Zhu by her hair and hit her hard in the face as well as on the body. As a result, Ms. Zhu lost much hair, her face was swollen, and she had many bruises. Zhang Weidong and other guards abetted Zhu Jianlin in torturing Ms. Zhu by stomping on her bare feet.
Several days later, Zhang Weidong kicked Ms. Zhu's leg with his boots. This abuse continued until April 3, 2010, when she was transferred to the Qinghe District Police Department in Huaian City.
12. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Gao Yulin Detained
Mr. Gao Yulin was taken to Suihua Forced Labor Camp. The camp officials refused to accept him due to his heart disease. Mr. Gao is now in the Harbin City Third Detention Center.
13. [Chongqing] Mr. Tang Shixiao and Ms. Gao Xingfang Arrested
Mr. Tang Shixiao and Ms. Gao Xingfang, who lived at Mr. Tang’s daughter's residence, were arrested on April 24 when they clarified the truth.
14. [Hubei Province] Wuhan City Women’s Prison Officials Prohibited Ms. Hu Wangxiang’s Family from Visiting
Ms. Hu Wangxiang was sentenced to three years and transferred to the Wuhan City Women’s Prison on February 23. Prison officials have prohibited her family from visiting her ever since.
15. [Taojiang County, Hunan Province] Update Regarding the Persecution of Taojiang County Practitioners
Xiushan Township resident Ms. Zhong Shiyun was arrested on April 10 and detained.
On the morning of April 14, a Jielongqiao Village, Santangjie Town, practitioner's home was ransacked. All Falun Gong materials and truth-clarification materials were confiscated.
16. [Shihezi City, Xinjiang Autonomous Region] Ms. Yang Xinping Arrested Twice
50-year-old practitioner Ms. Yang Xinping was arrested in September 2010 and sent to a brainwashing center. She was arrested again on April 14, 2011.

18. [Hubei Province] The Persecution of Wuxue City Practitioners
Seven practitioners were arrested on March 1: Mr. Shi Liping, Mr. Guo Zhigang, Mr. Wu Guobing, Mr. Peng Xigui, Ms. Lin Liju, Mr. Xue Er, and Mr. Ma Minling. Ms. Tian Xiuzhen and five other practitioners were held at a detention center for 15 days. In addition, three practitioners were arrested three months earlier, including Ms. Chen Xuezhen, Mr. Wu Qing (beaten to disability), and Mr. Zhu Jianxun.

19. [Shangyu City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Song Conge Held at the Shangyu City Detention Center
Agents from the Baiguan Detention Center and from the Shangyu City 610 Office arrested Ms. Song Congeon the evening on April 20 when she distributed truth-clarification materials. They are currently holding her in the Shangyu City Detention Center.

20. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Huang Shufang Arrested
Ms. Huang Shufang, in her 60s, lives in Qingyou Village, Wanchun Town in the Wenjiang District. She distributed Shen Yun DVDs on the evening of April 21 and did not return home that night. Her family heard the next day that Zhou Yuanfu and other agents from the town police station had arrested Ms. Huang.
Zhou and two other police agents ransacked Ms. Huang’s home on the morning of April 22. They took away a picture of Falun Gong’s founder and a booklet entitled “Falun Dafa Is Good.” It is said that Ms. Huang is being held in the Wenzhou District Detention Center.

21. [Jinping County, Guizhou Province] Ms. Zhao Qiuzhi Persecuted Several Times
Lin Changhong and other agents from the Jinping County Domestic Security Division arrested 54-year-old Ms. Zhao Qiuzhi in March 2010. Officials sentenced her to imprisonment for a term of three years on December 28, 2010. They sent her to Yangai Prison in Guizhou Province in April 2011.
Ms. Zhao had been sent to the Kaili Brainwashing Center in August 2004 and was persecuted for more than a month. She was sent to the Guizhou Province Women’s Forced Labor Camp in September 2006 for a term of one year.

22. [Suizhong County, Liaoning Province] Update Regarding the Persecution of Ms. Li Chunqing and Others
Dazhai Police Station officials arrested four practitioners on April 24, including Ms. Li Chunqing, Ms. Jiang Xiulan, and Ms. Shang Fengchun. Officials then ransacked their homes that evening. Although no one was at Ms. Jiang's home, police agents still broke in and took Falun Gong books. They did not find any “evidence” in Ms. Li's home. These four practitioners (one un-named) are being held at the Dazhai Town Police Station.

23. [Zixing City, Hunan Province] Mr. Liu Jiesheng and Mr. Zhang Zhong Sent to Labor Camp
Nine Zixing City practitioners were arrested on March 20 and held in a detention center. Two weeks later Mr. Liu Jiesheng and Mr. Zhang Zhong were taken directly to Xinkaipu Forced Labor Camp in Hunan Province.
Officials ransacked Mr. Liu's home once in early 2001 and sentenced him to forced labor camp for a year. This is his second stay in Xinkaipu Labor Camp.
