(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution, which took place in 16 cities or counties in 9 provinces. In this report, 8 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 25 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Jilin, Jilin Province] Ms. Cheng Shufang Arrested
On the evening of April 27, 2011, officers from the Yunheli Police Station in Yatai District, the Changyi Police Department and the 610 Office, broke into Ms. Cheng Shufang's daughter's home. They arrested Ms. Cheng and her son-in-law, who is not a practitioner, and took them to the Yuheli Police Station. They also confiscated their computer, a CD burner, a printer, three boxes of empty CDs and more than 10,000 yuan cash.
2. [Jilin, Jilin Province] Mr. Liu Honghui Arrested
Officers from the Lianhua Police Station and 610 Office arrested several practitioners beginning in the evening of April 27 until the next morning of April 28. Arrested practitioners are: Mr. Liu Honghui, Mr. Li Guangjun, Ms. Liu Hongyan, Ms. Liu Hongxia, Mr. Liu Hongliang (not a practitioner), Ms. Ding Daxin, Ms. Sun Jingfang and Mr. Jiang (the husband of Ms. Liu Mingwei). The police ransacked the homes of those practitioners, confiscated Dafa books, the portrait of the founder of Falun Dafa, electronic devices, cash and bank saving account records.

3. [Beijing] Ms. Huang Ronghua and Others Arrested
On the evening of April 26,2011, officers arrested several practitioners and ransacked their homes. Those illegally arrested practitioners are: Ms. Huang Ronghua, Mr. Wang Guohai, Mr. Li Zengqi, Ms. He Xiulan, and Mr. Huang Lvyong.

4. [Linqu County, Shandong Province] Mr. Guo Yonggui Arrested
Plainclothes officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Linqu Police Department arrested Mr. Guo Yonggui around April 13, 2011 and ransacked his home.
5. [Jiaonan, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Haiying and Ms. Ding Ming'ai Arrested
Mr. Liu Haiying and Ms. Ding Ming'ai were arrested when they were talking with people about Falun Gong on the morning of April 23. Both practitioners are currently detained at Jiaonan Detention Center.
6. [Fei County, Shandong Province] Mr. Peng Yunchang Held at a Brainwashing Center
Mr. Peng Yunchang was transferred to the Linyi Brainwashing Center on April 23, 2011 after authorities from the Jinan Railroad Police Department detained him for more than a month.
7. [Tahe, Henan Province] Mr. Zhao Xiang Sentenced to Four Years' Imprisonment
Officials from the Tahe Court secretly tried Mr. Zhao Xiang around November 22, 2010 and sentenced him to four years imprisonment.

8. [Zhumadian, Henan Province] Ms. Li Li Severely Maltreated in Custody
Ms. Li Li is 39 years old and from Zhumadian. She was arrested on April 7, 2010 by officers from the Domestic Security Division of Yicheng District, and detained at the Liuge Detention Center in Zhumadian. Officers from the Yicheng District 610 Office collaborated with the court and sentenced her to three years in prison. Currently, Ms. Li experiences severe illness symptoms, but officials from the 610 Office, the court and detention center refused to release her.

9. [Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province] Mr. Lu Ran Arrested
On the morning of March 25, 2011, Ms. Lu Ran was on her way to the hospital to take care of her mom, who was injured in a car accident. Officers from the Donghuan Police Station arrested Ms. Lu, and sentenced her to a forced labor camp [Under the CCP, sending a person to a forced labor camp doesn't require court proceedings].
Ms. Lu's mother was discharged from the hospital one week later. After her mother learned what happened to Ms. Lu, she had a mental trauma and passed away in the afternoon of April 26, 2011.
10. [Nanjin, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Ji Jianxia Illegally Sentenced
Ms. Ji Jianxia and Ms. Xiong Guizhen were arrested on February 26, 2011 and held at the Nanjin City Detention Center. Later, Ms. Ji Jianxia was sentenced to one year of forced labor, and Ms. Xiong Guizhen was released.
11. [Jiamusi, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Dan and Ms. Zuo Xiuwen Illegally Sentenced
On April 22, 2011, Ms. Wang Dan received the verdict from officials of the Huachuan Court, which sentenced her to three years imprisonment. Ms. Zuo Xiuwen was sentenced to three and a half years. Currently, both practitioners are being held at the Huachuan County Detention Center.

12. [Zhongshan, Guangdong Province] Mr. Yan Min and Mr. Ye Wei Arrested
Officers from the Huoju Development District Police Department arrested Mr. Yan Min from Hubei Province and Mr. Ye Wei from Sichuan Province, when both practitioners were distributing DVDs of the 2011 Shen Yun show. They are currently detained at the Zhongshan Detention Center.

13. [Wuhan, Hubei Province] Ms. Duan Xiaoxian Taken to Brainwashing Center
Officials from the Baishazhou Street General Management Office and the Residential Committee of Youdian Community, arrested Ms. Duan Xiaoxian, who is in her 50s, on April 22, 2011 and took her to the Yangyuan Brainwashing Center.
14. [Mohe, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Hao Baoying and Ms. Liu Shuxia Arrested
Officers from the Mohe Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Hao Baoying and Ms. Liu Shuxia in the afternoon of April 29, 2011, when these practitioners were distributing truth-clarification materials and talking with people about Falun Gong. The officers also ransacked their homes.

15. [Taonan, Jilin Province] Ms. Feng Shuying Arrested
Officers from the Zhanqian Police Station arrested Ms. Feng Shuying on April 20, 2011, when she was talking with people about Falun Gong at a train station. Ms. Feng is currently detained at the Taonan City Detention Center.
16. [Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Weichuang Arrested
Mr. Wang Weichuang is in his 30s and from Huanggu District, Shenyang City. Officers from the Lingdong Police Station of the Police Department in Yuhong District, arrested him on the morning of April 21, 2011, and detained him at the Huanggu District Detention Center.

17. [Tahe County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Song Chunyuan Detained
Officers from the Tahe County Police Department arrested Ms. Song Chunyuan the evening of April 26, 2011, when she was distributing Shen Yun DVDs. Officers Li Jun, Shi Wei and others from the Tahe County Police Department ransacked Ms. Song's home and confiscated her child's computer.
Ms. Song is currently detained at the Tahe County Detention Center. Her family is not allowed to visit her.
