(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in eight provinces. In this report, 15 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 13 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Qingyang City, Gansu Province] Officials from Heshui County Recently Harassed Falun Gong Practitioners
Officials from Heshui County, Qingyang County intensified harassment and monitoring of Falun Dafa practitioners recently. Zhao Bingwen, chief of the Heshui Domestic Security Team, and other personnel from the 610 Office harassed Mr. Zhang Peijie, who works at Hejiapan School.

2. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhang Su Arrested
On the morning of May 5, 2011, Mr. Zhang Su and his wife, Ms. Cheng Jing, were arrested at the Changqing Park Train Station ticket counter by Cai Heng, Yuan Quan, and two or three others from the Wuhan Police Department. They grabbed Mr. Zhang Su by the throat and sprayed liquid into his eyes. Mr. Zhang shouted, “I can't see!” The police then held him down on the ground. The couple was taken to the Changqing Park Police Station. The police then ransacked the couple's home. Ms. Cheng Jing was released at 1:00 p.m., but Mr. Zhang's whereabouts are currently unknown.
3. [Huixian City, Henan Province] Ms. Li Shuanyun Arrested
Ms. Li Shuanyun lives in Daguanzhuang Village, Baiquan Town, Huixian City. On the afternoon of May 8, 2011, about a dozen officials from Baiquan Comprehensive Management and the Baiquan Township went to her store and took her away. The police smashed all the windows in her small shop and kicked open the entry door. Ms. Li was forced into a police vehicle. When her husband tried to argue with the police, he was beaten. Ms. Li's leg was injured and has still not fully recovered. She was taken directly to a Brainwashing Center behind Xinxiang City.
4. [Chenxi County, Hunan Province] Ms. Liu Zhourong Was Harassed by the Chenxi 610 Office
Ms. Liu Zhourong is about 70 years old. Because she practices Falun Gong, she is often harassed by officials from the Chenxi 610 Office. Near April 20, 2011, personnel from the Chenxi 610 Office, the Politics and Law Bureau, and the Livestock and Aquatic Product Bureau went to where Ms. Liu's youngest son works and threatened him, saying that his mother's retirement pension would be cut if she did not meet with them. Her two sons were harassed by phone on May 10, 2011. The persecutors threatened that they would harass Ms. Liu's youngest son again.
5. [Chengdu, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Wenfeng Arrested by Officers from Caojixiang Police Station
On the afternoon of May 4, 2011, Jiang Dongtao and about a dozen others from the Simaqiao Police Station and local neighborhood committee ransacked Ms. Li. Wenfeng's home. Ms. Li and her son were taken away. Her son was released that night. She is being held in the Xinjin Brainwashing Center.

6. [Linli County, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhu Guiying Taken to a Brainwashing Center
Ms. Zhu Guiying was taken to the Changde City Brainwashing Center by personnel from the 610 Office.
7. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Xu Zhiyin Persecuted
On May 22, 2010, Mr. Xu Zhiyin, who originally came from Nanbu County, Sichuan Province, was arrested and taken to the Tianhe Detention Center by police from the Tianhe District Domestic Security Team. In December 2010, the Tianhe Court secretly tried Mr. Xu. On April 1, 2011, Mr. Xu did not follow orders to wear a prison uniform. He was shackled for more than a month. On May 5, 2011, the shackles were taken off.

8. [Xichang City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zhao Jun Brought into an Illegal Trial
On April 29, 2011, the Xichang Court illegally tried Mr. Zhao Jun. The court only allowed Mr. Zhao's parents to be present at the hearing. Mr. Zhao's parents were assigned to sit on the fourth row. Court police officers sat in front of them. The whole session lasted only 20 to 30 minutes.
9. [Xichang, Sichuan Province] Additional Information about the Persecution of Ms. Gao Deyu
The Xichang Court and the Liangshanzhou Intermediate Court sentenced 70-year-old Ms. Gao Deyu to 12 years in prison. On April 11, 2011, she was sent to the Longquan Women's Prison in Chengdu. On April 13, 2011, she was assigned to the fourth division. Due to severe hypertension, Ms. Gao was hospitalized in the 201 Provincial Prison Hospital in Jingtang County.

10. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Partial List of Arrested Falun Gong Practitioners
Seven practitioners from Yushu were recently arrested, including Ms. Guo Fengxue, Ms. Sun Shuxia, Ms. Yang Yazhi, Ms. Xu Lihua, Ms. Zhao Dachun, Ms. Zhao Jing, and Ms. Ren Chunying. It was said that the police were to conduct brainwashing sessions beginning May 13, 2011.
11. [Meishan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Luo Libin Detained
Ms. Luo Libin was arrested by police from the Meishan Domestic Security Team and detained in the Dongpo District Detention Center for a month. On May 9, 2011, she was transferred to a brainwashing center.

12. [Changyi, Shandong Province] Mr. Xie Wenliang Sent to a Forced Labor Camp in Jinan City, Shandong Province, for a Nine-Year Term on February 21, 2011
13. [Changyi, Shandong Province] Mr. Pan Weisheng Detained in the Changyi Patrols
On April 17, 2011, the Changyi patrols broke into Mr. Pan Weisheng's home and ransacked it. They confiscated Falun Dafa books and other property. Mr. Pan was not home at that time. The patrols have been back to Mr. Pan's home many times and they have threatened his family, extorted money and goods, and claimed they would put Mr. Pan on the on-line wanted list.
14. [Xinbin County, Liaoning Province] The Xinbin Police Plan to Bring Four Falun Gong Practitioners to Trial
The cases of four practitioners—Ms. Li Honglan, Ms. Zhang Guixia, Ms. Qu Guiying, and Ms. Liu Junbo—have been submitted to the Xinbin Procuratorate. The Xinbin police plan to put the four practitioners on trial, giving them each at least three years in prison.
Ms. Liu Junbo was recently secretly transferred. Her whereabouts are unknown.
