(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Mei, who is in her 60s and now retired, is an unassuming person who speaks slowly and gently.
In 1995, Falun Gong started to become popular in her local area. Ms. Mei started to cultivate in Dafa at that time. After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999, Ms. Mei and fellow practitioners went to Beijing to validate the Fa and displayed a banner in Tiananmen Square. She was illegally arrested and detained many times. In 2002, she was sentenced to forced labor because of clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to the public.
After she was released from the forced labor camp, she chose to write truth-clarifying materials to validate the Fa and save sentient beings. It is indeed a miracle for an elderly person with only a 4th grade education to be able to do this.
I asked Ms. Mei, “How many letters have you written over the past three to four years?” She said that she had written too many to count. She used over 100 notepads and over 500 sheets of color paper which were used to write truth-clarifying messages. She wrote every single day of the year an lost count of how many stamps she has gone through.
I can still recall in 2005 when Ms. Mei started to write truth-clarifying letters. Generally. she would ask me to look at the contents and polish the letters for her. Each time I read one of the letters I was very touched. I could feel deeply her concern for sentient beings, and her compassion and kindness were expressed in the content of the letter. Looking at the heartfelt, upright words she wrote, often brought tears to my eyes.
Some of her letters were addressed to business or community leaders. I changed the format to that of an open letter, which could be spread to a much wider audience and be used to clarify the truth and save the sentient beings on a large scale. For example, the titles of the letters included “Open Letter to all the Police Officials at Politics and Law Department in Such-and-such County,” “Open Letter to Such-and-such County Government and CCP Officials,” “Open Letter to All the People in Such-and-such County,” and “Open Letter to the CCP Party Secretary in Such-and-such County.”
Ms. Mei did not limit her letters to her local area. She also focused on the prisons, forced labor camps, detention centers, police stations and brainwashing classes that detained and persecuted Falun Dafa practitioners.
The contents of her letters mainly came from the daily accumulation of related materials, such as Minghui Weekly and truth-clarifying brochures. When she saw something useful for her letters, she would write it down. When she started to write a letter, these materials and her compassionate words combined produced touching truth-clarifying letters.
In addition to writing letters, Ms. Mei also clarifies the truth to people truth face to face. She walks everywhere around the county. I often saw Ms. Mei and other practitioners out in the street distributing flyers and talking to people. Sometimes Ms. Mei could persuade dozens of people a day to quit the CCP and its related organizations.
I asked Ms. Mei how she arranges her time. She said, “I usually study the Fa in the morning. In the afternoon I go to the street to clarify the truth. In the evening, besides attending the group Fa-study, I write truth-clarifying letters. Sometimes I write until 1 or 2 in the morning. At 3.50 a.m., I practice the exercises, at the same time as practitioners nationwide.”
This is Ms. Mei, who looks an average person on the surface. I think when people had a chance to see those touching truth-clarifying letters full of compassion and kindness, they would never imagine that the letter came from an elderly woman with only a fourth grade education. Falun Dafa's boundless divine power gives Ms. Mei the greatest compassion and wisdom, and allows her to create extraordinary miracles.
