(Clearwisdom.net) After I obtained the Fa, I understood very deeply that Dafa is very precious, and I realized that practicing cultivation is the real purpose of life. As a result, I spent a lot of my time on cultivation practice, and I was no longer attached to money, social status, or personal gain. As for those activities that other people are interested in, I tried my best not to participate in them.
When the communist regime started to persecute Dafa in 1999, it broke my heart to see how they slandered revered Master. How could I allow the evil to persecute Dafa and Dafa disciples? I went to Beijing four times to appeal for Dafa. During that time, I was arrested and persecuted by the evildoers. However, because of my firm belief in Dafa, I never surrendered to the evil. When I clarified the truth to police officers, I was very compassionate and sincerely wished them well.
Later on, after I studied Master's lectures about saving sentient beings, I understood that reaching consummation is not the true purpose of cultivation for Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples. The solid foundation we built earlier in the personal cultivation period was to prepare us to save sentient beings and fulfill our prehistoric vows. Whether we can reach consummation based on our righteous thoughts for Dafa in cultivation and whether we can fulfill the difficult missions of assisting Master in Fa-rectification and saving sentient beings are grueling tests for each Dafa disciple in the Fa-rectification period.
Because I paid a lot of attention to Fa study, I had a deep understanding of saving sentient beings and preventing them from being weeded out by the old forces. I developed great compassion for sentient beings who were deceived by the evil and were in danger of being weeded out. In the past, I wasn't willing to spend my time attending ordinary people's activities, such as weddings or birthday parties, etc. But now, I've changed my mind and have begun to actively participate in social activities, using these opportunities to talk to sentient beings, clarifying the truth to them and persuading them to withdraw from the communist party and its affiliated organizations. Next, I'm going to share a few truth-clarification stories with fellow practitioners.
Clarifying the Truth to an Official in the Political and Judicial Department
One day when I went out to clarify the truth to people, I met a government official who occupied an important position in the political and judicial department. He was walking with his wife. I thought I rarely had such a good chance to talk to him, so I must clarify the truth to him that day. I went up and greeted him: “What a coincidence! Let me tell you a great thing today.” He asked: “What great thing?” I said: “Nowadays, there are so many natural disasters, I'm going to tell you a great method to avoid them.” Before I finished, the official questioned me closely: “Tell me, when?” My head suddenly became empty, so I asked Master to grant me some wisdom. I stopped for several seconds, and then blurted out: “No matter when a disaster happens, I hope you are not part of it. And I also hope all of your family and friends have a happy and safe life.” He held up his thumb and said: “Well done!” After that, it became much easier for me to persuade him to quit the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations. Seeing the two of them walking away, I had a long sigh of relief. Thank you Master for helping me! From then on, whenever I encountered that official again, he greeted me with a good attitude.
Clarifying the Truth to a Police Officer
On one occasion, a friend told me there would be a wedding. I thought it was a good chance to clarify the truth, so I prepared some gifts for the couple and got together some truth-clarification materials before I went to the wedding.
At the wedding, I distributed the materials to guests. Most of them happily accepted the precious gifts from me.
When I gave the materials to a middle-aged man, I said: “Here is a gift for you, it is some truthful information that you normally wouldn't see.” He looked at the materials and said: “How dare you distribute Falun Gong materials to me! Do you know what I do?” I calmed down, looked into his eyes and said slowly: “Why do I dare not to? Falun Gong teaches people to be good, and my Master asked me to save you. I truly wish to save you and help you escape all the disasters in the future.” After I finished, the fierce look in his eyes suddenly softened. He said to me: “You'd better leave now, and I won't take these materials; you'd better take them away.” So I no longer persuaded him to take the materials. Since there weren't many materials left, I quickly gave the rest of them to other guests and then left.
Here I want to share one point with fellow practitioners: When we clarify the truth, sometimes we will meet the persecutors. At this time, we shouldn't panic. If we are filled with the Fa, at the critical moments, righteous thoughts and wisdom will naturally emerge.
Clarifying the Truth to the Deputy Mayor
Once when I was walking back home, I saw the deputy mayor walking in the distance. I thought that Master must have arranged for me to save him. So I walked close to him, sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil factors behind him and said: “You see there are so many natural disasters nowadays, it's all because of moral degeneration in all professions. Heaven is warning humankind. This is the book Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party; it talks about the true history of the communist regime.” After listening to my words, the deputy mayor said sincerely: “Your Master is so great to have such a disciple like you, but I don't think I want to read this book.” He returned the book to me. When he turned around and was about to leave, he said: “You know what, give me the book.” He put the book in the inside pocket of his suit and thanked me before he left.
Clarifying the Truth to Students
One day I went to a small town with fellow practitioners to distribute truth clarifying materials to the villagers. While the other practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts for me, I talked to people and gave them informational materials. When we met a group of students, one girl was afraid to take the materials from me after she learned they were about Falun Gong. Then another girl said: “I heard Falun Gong has been defamed and wronged, and actually the practitioners are all good people. Can you give me some materials? I want to see them.” Then the first girl who didn't want the materials also said: “Then I also want one.” After we distributed the materials and wanted to go back home, a group of people suddenly showed up. They asked me: “What are you distributing?” I adjusted my mind and compassionately clarified the truth to the villagers. My fellow practitioner sent forth righteous thoughts beside me. In the end, after most of the villagers happily took some materials, we finally went back home.
