(Clearwisdom.net) During the past ten years, Chongqing Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Xu Wenxiu has been repeatedly persecuted by officials from the Chongqing 610 Office, the prison, detention center, drug rehabilitation center, police station, brainwashing center and other government agencies. She is now paralyzed and bedridden due to the persecution, and is unable to take care of herself.

In January 2001, Ms. Xu was illegally arrested and held in a detention center for one year and six months. Ms. Xu and other practitioners were arrested while hanging a banner that read “Falun Dafa is good” and writing "Falun Dafa is good" and "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good" on a wall with spray-paint in Huaxi, Banan District, Chongqing in January 2001. At the Nanquan Police Station in Chongqing, officer Yang Daobing forced Ms. Xu to take off her coat, then brutally beat her to the brink of death. Yang handcuffed Ms. Xu and didn't allow her to sleep or eat for two days.

Two days later, Ms. Xu was taken to the Banan District Detention and Drug Addiction Treatment Center. She was forced to sleep on a damp floor in a dark and smelly cell that had water seeping in from the walls. The detention center provided moldy rice mixed with small pieces of white gravel to eat, which made it difficult to separate from the rice, and hard to swallow. The cooked vegetables sometimes contained excrement, since the vegetables were never washed. Ms. Xu was imprisoned for a year and six months.

In July 2002, Ms. Xu was transferred to Yongchuan Women's Prison in Chongqing, where she was held for two years. Guards ordered four inmates to continuously monitor, beat, curse and brainwash Ms. Xu. At that time, Ms. Xu's feet and stomach were badly swollen. She had diarrhea for over a year, which made her so weak that she was unable to walk, or even sit. However, the four inmates forced her to sit on a small stool. As soon as she'd sit, she'd fall and was then forced to get up and sit again – this was the method used to torture her. Although Ms. Xu was very weak, the guards didn't allow her to rest, and ordered inmates to carry her to the prison's brainwashing center to undergo a session. Ms. Xu was also administered a variety of unknown drugs, which caused her to physically collapse. Once, she was taken to the Yongchuan Hospital in Chonqing, where a kind doctor said: “She can't take these medications any more. She needs to have enemas immediately.” After the enemas, Ms. Xu's diarrhea stopped.

Ms. Xu was released on July 25, 2004, after being held at the detention center and prison for three years and six months.

Ms. Xu was taken to the brainwashing center twice, which resulted in her paralysis.

Ms. Xu was arrested by Chongqing 610 Office agents in 2007, and taken to the Chongqing Brainwashing Center (Wangxiangtai Brainwashing Center in Yubei District, Chongqing) where she was imprisoned for two months.

Ms. Xu was arrested again while clarifying the facts about Falun Gong near the Liberation Monument in Chongqing in 2008 and taken to the Liudianzi Detention Center in Daping, Chongqing. Later, she was taken to the brainwashing center and detained for two months, where she was brutally tortured and subsequently paralyzed.

Yuzhong District 610 Office agents and Jiefangbei Police Station policemen in Chongqing often broke into Ms. Xu's home to harass her after she was released. They also sent four police assistants to monitor Ms. Xu day and night.

Ms. Xu suffered tremendously under the Chinese Communist Party's persecution-- physically, emotionally and financially. At this time, she's paralyzed and bedridden, and unable to take care of herself.
