(Clearwisdom.net) Seven officers from the South Police Station in Shacheng Town, Huailai County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province made an illegal arrest around 9:00 p.m. on April 28, 2011. They broke into Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Guo Meiying's home in Nanyuan Village, arrested her and took her to Shijiazhuang City to be held in custody. At the same time, practitioner Ms. Dong Junling from Nanyuan Village and practitioner Ms. Peng Xia from Liujie were also arrested.
The three practitioners are all homemakers. Since practicing Falun Gong, they have conducted themselves strictly according to the principles of Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance. They are grateful to Falun Gong for having brought them physical and mental well-being and harmony in their families and with their neighbors. After the Chinese Communist Party began to slander and persecute Falun Gong, these practitioners helped those whose minds had been poisoned by the CCP's lies and propaganda to become aware of the true situation.
The three of them went together to distribute truth-clarifying materials in Songjiaying Village on the evening of April 4, 2011, the date of the Tomb Sweeping Festival. Officers from the South Police Station arrested them and took them to the Zhangjiakou Detention Center. Several police officers body-searched Ms. Dong the next morning and took the key to her home, and then went to her home to ransack it while her family was out. The two other practitioners' homes were also ransacked.
At the South Police Station, officers attempted to make Ms. Guo sit in an iron chair. Ms. Guo resisted, and was beaten by them.
The three women were held in the Zhangjiakou City Detention Center for two weeks before they were released.
One week following their release, around 9:00 p.m. on April 28, seven officers from the South Police Station once again broke into Ms. Guo's home by smashing a window. Ms. Guo sent her frightened daughter out to seek help, and shouted, “Gangsters are breaking in!” Seven police officers dragged her to the ground from her bed and took her away before Ms. Guo's daughter returned with her father and younger brother. Ms. Guo had taken off her pants and was in bed at the time. Ms. Guo's daughter later discovered that a pair of her own pants, in which she had left in the pocket a bank card carrying more than 7,000 yuan, had gone missing, presumably taken by the police so that Ms. Guo would have something to wear. When she went to the police station to bring her mother some clothes, she also tried to get her pants back, but when they were returned she found that the bank card was gone. She questioned the police, but they said they didn't have the bank card.
The same night, Ms. Dong and Ms. Peng were also arrested at home by the same police officers. Seven policemen climbed over the fence of Ms. Dong's home. They beat up Ms. Dong's husband and held her son down on the ground, before they took Ms. Dong away. Ms. Dong's husband chased after them and cursed at them, saying that they were gangsters. One of the officers replied, “That's right, we are gangsters!”
The families of the three practitioners went to the police station the next day to demand their release. But the police told them to wait for news. Early in the morning on the third day, they were told that the practitioners had been sent to a forced labor camp in Shijiazhuang.
Further details are being investigated.
