(Clearwisdom.net) Greetings, Teacher! Greetings, fellow practitioners! I live in Hurstville, Australia, where many Chinese people and Dafa practitioners live. The Epoch Times office is located in the center of Hurstville, and many residents are highly educated. Due to the lack of truth clarification in our area, we struggled to obtain permission to set up a Center for Quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). A local councillor was originally from China, and even stated that as long as he was in office, he wouldn't grant permission for a Party-Quitting booth. This interference caused great difficulties in truth clarification, and I was deeply worried.
Teacher said:
“The public presence of a “Party-Quitting Center,” or a “center for quitting the wicked CCP,” is an endless source of aggravation and exasperation for them. The fact is, it's a powerful place for destroying evil, and that is why they fear it.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2008 New York Conference”)
During the winter of 2008, we formed a Center for Quitting the CCP in the Hurstville area in order to save sentient beings. At first, we didn't know how to clarify the truth to people. We followed Teacher's Fa principles, and tried to “learn by doing” with benevolent hearts. Initially, we could only get one or two people to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations per day. That number slowly increased to five or six people daily. We then invited experienced practitioners to come and assist us. It was inspiring to see an experienced practitioner who clarified the truth to everyone possible. She walked up and down the streets to find more people to quit the CCP. Even though she was perspiring, she kept going and didn't feel the least bit tired. With her leading the way, we gradually developed our own abilities. Soon, we were helping 30 people to quit the CCP daily. Since the Fa rectification progress is accelerating, we decided to increase our activities to two days during the weekend. We felt the urgency to save more sentient beings. A short while later, we helped over 100 people to quit the CCP and its affiliated orgnizations in one weekend.
As people became aware of the truth, the CCP panicked, and tried to interfere with our activities. On one occasion, a man attempted to steal one of our posters. Our coordinator reported the matter to the police and explained the facts about Falun Dafa. During this process, we also applied for permission to set up the booth; this time it was approved. We turned a negative incident into a positive outcome.
However, the interference continued. One day, a Hurstville councillor removed one of our main posters. I felt quite sad, and thought that we should truly cultivate ourselves by upgrading our understanding from the perspective of the Fa. We started a Fa study group and really looked inward. We realized that we needed to steady our minds and not be affected by the removal of our poster. We needed to strengthen our righteous thoughts, put more effort into clarifying the truth and help more people to quit the CCP. With Teacher's help, we could help more people to quit the CCP even without that poster.
Many practitioners supported our efforts. Some coordinators made smaller hand-held posters for us. One coordinator successfully requested that our big poster be returned. The councillor knew that his actions were wrong, and promised to return the poster.
That councillor told us to put the posters in a place where no one could legally remove them, and we followed his advice. We could see that he now understood the truth and was making the right decisions. Although he initially did something negative, he realized his mistake, which presented him the opportunity to be saved.
Our weekly Fa study has continued to this day. Our weekend Party-Quitting Center is always running, rain or shine. The evil in other dimensions is being rapidly annihilated. We are all very diligent, as we know that this is a part of our vows. All practitioners arrived on time and never took days off, even when encountering sickness karma. There was an elderly practitioner who lived far away. There was a heavy rain one day, so to avoid being late, she ran to the Party-Quitting Center. When she arrived, her shoes were so wet that she poured water out of them and her clothes were soaked. We were so touched by that. We all understood that if we didn't keep up Fa study, the site wouldn't continue operating. We hold our Party-Quitting project Fa study every weekend and shared on areas in which we weren't doing well. We also shared problems that we'd experienced, so that we could all look inward and cultivate together.
We also experienced tremendous interference at our Fa study site. We were forced to change venues a couple of times, but with Teacher's help, we finally established a stable site at the Epoch Times office. We know that cultivation is up to the practitioner, while gong is up to Teacher. Everything comes from Teacher's blessings, and we sincerely thank Teacher. Due to the massive elimination of the evil in Hurstville, we now have an ongoing Shen Yun Performing Arts promotional booth in a major shopping center, and the theft of Epoch Times newspapers has also decreased.
The “Quitting the CCP movement” is an activity that all practitioners can participate in. Helping out at Party-Quitting sites, or making calls to China to save sentient beings - it's all about cleaning our environment and other dimensions. As the evil forces are eliminated, we'll encounter less interference on other projects, such as Shen Yun Performing Arts promotion.
I also participate in the RTC board online calls to China, which is the global Quitting the CCP call center. The center runs 24/7, and every practitioner can learn how to help. Experienced callers teach practitioners the process for making calls. There are 40,000 calls to be made daily, and new practitioners help and are doing very well.
The call center coordinator is a woman with a two year-old child, although her husband isn't a practitioner. She spends most of the day making calls to China while taking care of her child, keeping up with the housework and helping practitioners all over the world. She always maintains a compassionate voice and manages everything carefully. Sometimes, we hear the child’s soft voice in the background during the calls. There is a Japanese practitioner who also has a baby. She holds the baby in one arm while making calls with her other hand. She gets people to quit the CCP quickly and easily. When the sentient beings on the phone hear the baby's sounds, they're quite moved and often promise to quit and stay away from the CCP. I was moved to tears when I heard this; they're great mothers. There is also a practitioner from the USA involved in many Dafa projects. He used his spare time to make calls to China. Due to the time difference (12 hours), he slept only two to three hours a day.
All practitioners who participate in this call center have many wonderful experiences in truth-clarification and cultivation to share. Practitioners mature quickly in the center by listening to others making calls or having one-on-one training. Practitioners enthusiastically helped each other. After practitioners help someone quit the CCP, they receive encouragement from other practitioners. Once they've helped a second person quit the CCP, they don't want to leave the call center. One gains new understanding daily, from making calls or just listening and supporting with righteous thoughts. The skills obtained at the call center can be used to clarify the truth in other environments. This call center was given to us by Teacher, let's all join in!
In the past few years, we've overcome many difficulties and tribulations with Teacher's help. Every step was arranged by Teacher. We need to continually improve the areas where we haven't done well. I wrote this sharing article in order to push myself even harder. I hope that practitioners can point out anything that is inappropriate.
