(Clearwisdom.net) Fellow practitioners, do not be so quick to say “practitioners in our local area do not cultivate well.” It seems to have developed into a notion. In past sharings among local practitioners, someone might say: “Our area does not do well and our whole cultivation state is not good,” or “Look at other places. They do so well cooperating as one body and clarifying the truth. We fall far short when compared to them …”
When practitioners work in other areas and then return to their local area they will say, “Our area really is not good. See the other areas …” I've heard similar comments in other areas. It seems local practitioners always think they do not do well individually and their group does not do well as a whole.
I think this is looking outwards. Who is “the whole body?” Who is “the local area?” We easily separate ourselves with the labels “whole body” or “local area.” We include ourselves in good things and exclude ourselves in bad things. We don't accept our responsibilities. We do not search inside and improve our xinxing.
As a Falun Dafa practitioner, there is always the good side and then the side waiting to improve. In the area that we call a “good area,” not every practitioner in that area cultivates diligently. Cultivation is each person's own business. As individuals, we can reach the realm we deserve as long as we cultivate diligently and keep up with Fa-rectification. Individuals come together locally and form a “whole body.” When good individuals come together, a strong field of righteous thoughts is formed. The whole body shows a good state in saving sentient beings. The root reason is that every individual practitioner cultivates diligently and fully plays a positive role. We should search inward, but the starting point and aim are not to judge others or other areas and discourage ourselves. The reasons we search inwards are to improve our xinxing and elevate ourselves.
Some practitioners also noticed that many of those who often said “practitioners in our area do not cultivate well” would think they were cultivating well and did better than others. They dared to comment about others because they thought they were better than others. I think that if we really believe we did not cultivate well, we should take the initiative and try to play a more positive role. The state of the local area would change if each practitioner would not behave as a commentator but would look inward.
Although we still have human attachments and some individuals truly do not do well, we must continue to go forward in this evil environment. New practitioners are continually coming in. I believe more and more practitioners will learn to look inside. This way, we can do better in saving sentient beings and will become more and more mature. We will form a strong field of righteous thoughts. The evil will then have no way to persecute us.
