Switzerland: Falun Gong Information Day Held in the City of Basel (Photos)

June 2, 2011 |   By a practitioner in Europe

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioners held an information day and introduced their practice to people in Basel, the second largest city in Switzerland, on May 28, 2011. They also made the local residents aware of the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong in China. People who learned the truth signed the petition to express their support for the practitioners' efforts to end the persecution.

One practitioner gave a lady who was waiting for a bus next to the information desk some informational materials to read. She stood by the bus stop and read the materials for half an hour. She was so drawn to the information that she missed her bus several times.

A bus stopped in front of the information desk. After all the passengers had boarded, the door was still open. A practitioner noticed that the bus driver was waving at him, asking for a copy of the materials. The bus driver smiled and thanked the practitioner who gave him the materials.

A man left after signing the petition to protest the brutal persecution in China. He soon returned to the desk and asked for several more copies, saying, “I want to show them to other people.”

A Tibetan couple were shocked and angry after learning how the Chinese Communist regime illegally removes practitioners’ organs and sells them for profit. They quickly signed the petition.

A man in his thirties, after learning about the persecution, said, “I give you my best wishes and hope you succeed. We need China and Chinese culture, but the Chinese Communist Party must disappear from the Earth.”

When the practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises, a group of children came and learned the movements.

A Chinese woman got the book, Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party from a practitioner in the Netherlands. She wanted more information this time. A practitioner told her how to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations online.

A young Chinese man stopped by the desk. He said that he had already quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. When a practitioner asked whether his family members had quit as well, he said that he would talk to them, and he took a lot of materials with him before he left.
