(Clearwisdom.net) I am from India and in business. For about 11 years, I jogged daily, fasted, walked, and did yoga. During that period, I used to suffer from severe migraines and lots of tension and other physical ailments like knee pain, etc.

In 2007, my wife and I visited our son in New Zealand. As usual, the day after our arrival, I left my son's home for a morning walk. I took a left turn, which I found to be a curved road all the way. The next day, at the junction of the two roads, I stood for a while and was in a dilemma whether to again follow to the left side or turn right instead. With no inkling of the events that were to follow, I took the right turn. I found a beautiful park and started jogging and walking fast for over an hour, returning daily. At almost the same time, a group of 4 to 5 people were doing exercises to very soothing music. For about 5 days, though I had the urge within to join them, I hesitated and returned to my son's home. But on the sixth day, I couldn't resist the comfort of the music. I joined the group and started imitating the exercises. Then a lady practitioner noticed me. She was kind enough to approach me and taught me the Falun Gong exercises. So, from then onwards, I was there regularly at 6 a.m. Even at this point, I never could have imagined that my path of life was being changed. After a few days, she gave me a new copy of Zhuan Falun and asked me to read it. She told me I could purchase it later or return it if I wasn't interested in keeping it. I was in the beginning very excited that an unknown person would give me a book.

One day, the lady practitioner took me to a group Fa study and I studied the book with others. It was a good experience. I was very happy when she said in the presence of all the practitioners there that she overcame her jealous nature through a realization from reading the section on jealousy. Whenever I had any doubts, she could clarify my understanding based on the Fa. I had finished reading the book by the time I returned to my country. She also advised me to check practitioners' websites to further improve as a cultivator. All this seemed to be a new experience but by the time I finished the book, I realized that it was a matchless and invaluable book. After returning, I started going to the local practice site daily. Subsequently, I read the book many times and gained new understandings each time. I realized within no time that my migraines were gone forever and I had no knee pain, tension, etc., and there was no need to take any pills for any reason. My family too was very happy seeing the changes within me and, along with it, my home environment improved a lot. Earlier, I used to chat with different female friends online, but after I took up the practice, automatically I stopped doing so and took a different approach in this regard. My family used to argue with me on this point. Master's teachings made me see it more clearly: "From a high-level perspective, everyday people are playing with mud while in society without realizing that it is dirty." (Zhuan Falun) I realized that I had been “playing with mud,” having been affected by the rapidly declining moral standard.

Many miracles happened in my life after I took up the practice. Apart from my health improvements, I got help in my business from various unknown sources from far away even without asking for it. Once I realized the reason, it became easy for me to deal with my bank manager, who was callous and uncooperative. I was probably the only customer in the branch who didn't fight with the manager during his tenure.

As a practitioner, it used to be a major concern for me that I wasn't really truthful in my business, though I had been studying the book. I used to give in to self-interest and profit. I also used to ask our revered Master to show me a dignified way of doing business. Fortunately, our Master has shown me a way with which I can be truthful in my business and it is a great relief. Once the way was shown by Master when I was doing the meditation, I decided that I would never do anything bad for self-interest in the future. This helped me to improve further and I became more responsible in my business, too. At times, though, I incurred unexpected losses. I wasn't moved but steadfast in cultivation since I became aware why such things do happen.

It is a great blessing to be a practitioner of Falun Dafa and so I always keep a Falun badge on my shirt. Whenever anyone asks me about the badge, I gladly give out flyers. Sometimes people have asked me how much money I get by spreading the practice. I smile and tell them that I get happiness. Some refuse to take a flyer, thinking that I will ask them for money. I distribute the flyers when I travel on a bus or a train. It has become my habit. I also spread the practice with another practitioner in schools, to police, in jails and in other government departments, etc.

Translation to Transformation

I took the initiative to translate our book into our local language, which immensely helped me to improve and transform from within further. Now I give preference to considering others first and look within for any shortcomings.

In the process of cultivation, we had some differences with another practitioner but sorted it out later. Previously, I never used to speak if I had any difference of opinion but now, it's not the case at all. There won't be a situation of any conflicting issue, as I have become more tolerant in explaining my perspective to others. I was very fortunate to get to see the Shen Yun show for the last three years abroad. This also immensely helped me to further commit myself to the practice. Because of what I have experienced in cultivation, I sincerely wish to let others know about our great practice and so spread it to as many people as possible daily. Once, I didn't heed Master's guidance in Zhuan Falun and approached a palm reader, whom I knew prior to my starting cultivation. This invited a serious tribulation that lasted for three months, but again thanks to our most respected Master, I realized that I should only follow the Fa as taught by Master. Had I not taken that right turn the day after I arrived at my son's place, I would not have learned such a great practice. I believe this happened because I am predestined. I always think about how I can show my gratitude to our most respected Master, who gave me so many good things in my life. I realize that the only way left is to follow the most righteous cultivation path laid out by our Master. My life is dedicated to our practice.
