was arrested by the local 610 Office on July 14, 2008. On July
29, without notification to his family, he was sent to the Shandong
Province Second Forced Labor Camp where he was imprisoned for a
year. During his detainment, he was subjected to hanging torture
for three days because he wrote “Falun Dafa is good.”

On July 12, 2008, the officials of the Pingdu area led police to break into Cui Jianjun's home in Cuijiajing Village. They confiscated his satellite dish and one Dafa book. They also took the satellite dish from his brother Cui Jiansen's home.
At 6:05 a.m. on July 14, Dai Shengli, the director of the Tonghe security office, and Cui Youhui, the secretary of the United Defense Team and a Cuijiajing villager, led people from the 610 Office in Pingdu area. Twenty people arrived in three cars. They broke into Cui Jianjun's home, arrested him, and ransacked his home. Elsewhere, his brother Cui Jiansen and sister-in-law Jiao Jingmei were also arrested. Their laptop computer and printer were confiscated. Cui Jianjun was detained at the Pingdu Detention Center.
Dai Shengli, the director of the Tonghe security office, sent Cui Jianjun to the Shandong Province Second Forced Labor Camp at around 6:00 a.m. on July 29, where he was imprisoned for one year.
In the labor camp, the guards forced Cui Jianjun to do intense labor. At 8:00 a.m. on lunar January 24, Cui Jianjun wrote “Falun Dafa is good” on the wrapping paper for fishing hooks. The guard found it and reported him. Luo Guangrong, the police head in the seventh division, beat him and took him to the office. Four people including Luo Guangrong, Song Nan, Liu Zhonghao, and Li Fushui, took turns beating him, until Cui Jianjun bled in his mouth and his teeth were loosened. They subsequently hung him up on the heating pipes in bathroom for three days, and deprived him of sleep. As a result of the torture, Cui Jianjun developed edema below his waist.
